Easy guys, Ok i've just had to reinstall a copy of windows xp on my computer (therefore formatting the hard drive). I'm now faced with a bit of a problem. Having had a look in the device manager, the system is missing drivers for the following devices: - Coprocessor - Ethernet controller - PCI device - SM bus controller - Uknown device - Uknown device - Video controller I'm running an asus m3n-h/hdmi motherboard with an amd phenom 9650. For some reason, when i put the disc that came with my motherboard in the cd drive it doesn't display any files or folders (the drive works fine with other cd's). But when i place it in my other computer, all it's contents are visible. I've tried downloading the necessary software from the asus and amd websites, but have had no luck with that. The only thing i have had luck with is downloading the drivers for my gtx 260. My predicament is fairly obvious and i was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction here? Try copying the contents from the manufacturer's disc onto other media... a USB stick or something. You could try to run from there.
agreed - if you can see it on another computer, transfer it to USB stick on that computer and then run from USB stick on rebuilt one. You need your motherboard drivers basically. I would uninstall the graphics drivers and re-install them after the motherboard drivers too, just in case the motherboard drivers affect the graphics card slot in any way.
