    Hey

The time has come for me to do my IVA practical at college which basically involves setting up a network. A very small one, with a windows 2003 server and xp client.

Well basically, the computer being used as the server should be running 2k server because the specs are a little too low to even look at 2k3 (I've had 2k running on there without a hitch before), and apparently the changes between 2k and 2k3 aren't exactly going to be a problem...

However we have a problem. I'm trying to install the OS right now. It completes the blue screen section without a hitch, and then moves onto the graphical install. After this is all done, it decides to reboot, and start the graphical section all over again. Basically I need this installed to iron out any problems with my practical and it's really starting to hack me off why it won't install properly...

    Any ideas?

wipe the disk totally, i had this issue once before and a totally clean hard disk seemed to solve it.

Hmmmm just found the prob...which leads me to another question...

Problem was solved by unplugging the ethernet card...it's a PCI thing, but i'm just curious to know why it would cause that problem.

    Just seems a tad weird...

Oh and buzzons, it wouldn't suprise me if the HDD was dying. the one i'm installing to is only 13gb, and it's getting on a bit now...
