ok ive recently bought a radeon 9700 pro. Ive installed it in to my computer (however i used the floppy drive connector to connect to the graphics card - the technician at the shop i bought it from suggested this and said it was fine as i didnt have another cable) Once connected, i boot my pc up. On the Packard Bell grey screen which appears i notice some strange white lines on the screen. I also noticed some discolouration on the windows loading screen. When i do get in to windows half of my screen has a shade of yellow running through it. Also i get some dodgey pink colours at times. Also, my desktop has blue vertical lines going down it. This obviously isnt normal hehe :D. Now, ive come to the conclusion that it could be 3 things : either a faulty graphics card (i bought it new) a broken motherboard (seems to work with other graphics cards) or a not powerful enough power supply. The one i use at the moment uses 280w. Does anyone know what the problem could be, and how i could go about fixing it? thanks for anyhelp you give me. zoohook.

p.s i have tried formatting my computer - the problem is still the same. :)

rma it - it's dieing a horrible, multicoloured death.

I recently got a 9700pro from retek and while 2d was fine, 3d locked the pooter up, after displaying masses of artifacts over the screen for half a second. Sent it back, got another one and it's right as rain now.
