    Here what happened.

I moved apartments last week and i was rushing. So i didn't take the time to shut down the computer properly. I just pulled the plug from the outlet.

When i set up my computer in the new apartment. The computer wouldn't even turn on. So i figured i blew the Power Supply. So I went and bought a new one. And it booted up fine.

The only problem is the Processor Fan is super noisy.

Before i broke it. It was really silent i could barley here the Fan.

    What happened?

I would check the bios options for your board. Perhaps it has returned to default settings with the loss of power.

You have probably already done this but worth mentioning.

I checked the bios but i didn't see any settings about the fan.

Should i buy a new fan? Is it even the fan?

Rushing or stealing? :D Why on earth would you turn a computer off by yanking the cord out?!?

I was too lazy. I've done this many times in the past but nothing has ever happened. I have learned my lesson.

Did i break the fan too?

Are you sure it's the CPU fan being noisy and not the new PSU fan?

It's possible when you moved the PC you've knocked it slightly loose, depending on how it's fitted.

Yes its the CPU fan because i did a test. I unplugged the heatsink fan and booted up the computer and its not noisy but when i plug in the fan it seems like its working full speed. It really noisy.

What motherboard do you have? I'll check the manual for you and see where the fan option lies :)

Update: Well everything is back to normal.

I ended up going into the bios and i went to the option " reset to factory defaults" i saved and exited and it

rebooted and now I can barely hear the fan. Problem Solved.

Lesson: Turn off the computer properly.

Given its 2013 and not 2003, I think you ought to know better ;-)
