Ive got 2 old compaq computers that im not sure what to do with. one of them is a cyrix 2 @ 250mhz and the other a AMD K6 @ 400mhz. the cyrix is really small, the amd huge. now, both are socket 7 motherboards and processors, so i want to take the amd and put it in the cyrix and vice versa. is there anything else i need to do this? a new BIOS perhaps? i dont want to break anything by screwing around with it so i decided to ask first. thanks for the help!
yeh you have to change the jumpers to match the fsb and the mult and the voltage of the amd and the cyrix on the other boards.
