    Hello Fellow Bit-Techers, what's up?

I'm fixing to start doing automotive finishes on pc cases or anything people want painted - sounds good, right?

Well the down side is, the cost for "primer, paint, clearcoat, sealant, hardener, and compound" runs about $70-90.

So say its $70 and I charge $20 for labor, that's $90 - would anyone pay that much plus shipping to have their case painted the color they want with a auto/mirror finish case?

Probably no, But would the price be the same for a full tower and a sff?

Presumably a case 75% smaller would cost less??

I'd rather do it myself for about half the price, or even take it into a body repair shop and have them do it for less.

Is this just a plain colour, or is this for patterns and pictures? If it were patterns or such, people would more likely pay $90 (about £50 or so).

(I had to restart firefox here, the text started going back to front!?!

i wouldnt mind painting for the $90 price range...but im sure the bloody shipping will bump it up alot more....

can you do the whole case...i.e. ouside pannels and internal case aswell??

also do you have any sample pics of previous cases done??

You probably have to start thinking of buying in bulk. Something in the area of 25 gallon tanks of primer, paint, and so on to reduce cost.

Pretty much so, and where are you gonna put gallons of paint?

Then theres advertising to think of, not sure if you'll be allowed to "advertise" your "business" on these forums as its against the rules.

matt the gamer, most people paint last so I don't see how it would be a problem. I had some stuff painted by the local body shops for less then that but if you specialize in computer and such it would be worth the premium. Now I take it to my local community college and just use their guns, paint hoods and such for free.

Yes matt after you are COMPLETELY finished modding that would be the right time
as for price i would need to know the color then go check at the local paint store for their price
