    resuming update...

    The fan for the processor:
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

screws to mount it with the rubber rivets.

The fan mounted on the processor with the help of a fanadapter 120 to 80. The cooler had a 70 mm fan so I drilled some extra holes in the fanadapter

Starting to build up from the mobopanel.
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Went paying a visit to the local Audi dealer. I explained him me plans and my passion for Audi. He said he understood it but his eyes told me something different. I asked him the damage for the rim and he told me '4 Bossche bollen'. This is a chocolat delicacy filled with special whipped cream from my neighbourhood.
I ended up with an Alloy original!! Audi rim for no more than 5 Euro's!!! And the promise to mail him the final pics...

and for the last one watch the next post...

    final pics from this update...

Started on the inside of the rim here. Mounted a fangrill, afterwards the brakedisc and fan.
[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

The other rim was mounted to the backpanel with 4 metal braces. On this rim the backpanel will be screwed through the back"rimcollar". Here the holes to screw through.

I demounted the centrecap again to mod it.

Next time I'll show it, modded that is :D...

Look for a teaser in the first post of this thread...

By the way, Yes I changed of mobo. I now work on a Celeron D 2,26 with 512DDR in stead of the former P3 733 with 256SD. Works a bit better... a little more expensive in electricity though...

    I like it a lot.

and i agree, it is always funny/weird when going to a store and trying to explain to sales clerks that you need this or that for a casemod. The looks on their faces...

Besides the cars in the showroom and carparc, I liked the surprised face  of the Salesclerk the most of al the afternoon... Maybe that was because the rest of the afternoon I was washing the rim. Not exactly the best job on the mod...

I've seen it already, but thanx for rubbing it in ;).

Luckily my plans are on the first page, made before january so I can't be copier...

And as one reads the posts and takes time to check the pics together with information besides them, they will notice the difference in costs. With a lot of money, everything is possible. I used the materials I have and try to gather as much as possible for as little as possible...

Gaoske - I'm so, so, so sorry mate. I didn't see your project until today and clearly your posts date back to January. Please don't think we picked "the best" alloy wheel mod for publication on the main site and that it wasn't yours.

I was told it had been done before but the one published was simply Micke's take on the idea in general. Please don't take it as an insult to your work. You definitely have some cool ideas here.

all creds to you and your work.

It's ok, my first reaction was made in the discussion thread of GoTaLL. First I was a little upset about "my ideas" being taken and used by someone to take the credits. Right now I'm in my last your for my Bachelor so there's not much time to mod. If someone else does find time to mod, who am I to tell someone what to mod and what not? Ok, It's a shame I didn't finish my pics 2 weeks earlier to be the first to finish a mod like this...

But everyone makes a mod as he likes it to be. Having the same ideas is a proof of share in interest. GoTaLL did a nice job.

Just a shame I was ready with mine too late..

As promised, here another update about the wheel centercap.

I started to push out the chrome logo. Then I cut out the center of the logo and put back the chrome logo. Result:
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Put the rim over the PC and took some shots with flash of the inside of the rim:

    Thnx for the compliments!!

I think so as well, that's why I 'll make several switches in the system:
    Procfan 5V or 12V
Graphics card fan 5V or 12V
    PSU fan 5V or 12V
    Case/rimfan 5V or 12V
    lights on/off

Off course the switches will be out of sight as much as possible. I'll post as soon as I know and have more pics!

Start, try, search information, win advice from people about things you don't know.

Just try is the best and fastest way...
