Thanks guys, i have to say that these PSU covers aren't 100% finished, so in the next days i will post the final look.

Today i post a new work done on the other side panel shield of the case!

In this side panel i will put the original Alienware control borads for LEDs and FANs + a little mod....
    1.jpg
Modified the molex to horizontal to save space
    2.jpg
I've make and hole in the panel and installed a plexiglas sheet
    4.jpg
Over the plexiglas i've sticked mirror chrome vinyl and filled all the gaps with putty.
    6.jpg
Prepared the wrapping vinyl and the backlight panel parts
    7.jpg
Started the wrapping! It was very hard because this vinyl it's not easy to apply, and also it was difficult to center the ALIENBASE logo.
    8.jpg
After about 2 hours this is the result!
    9.jpg 10.jpg
And the illuminated logo, very smooth!
    11.jpg
In the back we have all the control board installed

Fact is, your worklog is a riveting journey through what I would call : some genuine old school modding :dremel: ...perhaps it's only me who is kinda nostalgeek  furthermore, I always had a crush on those Alienware cases, especially modded with talent like you did, I 've been watching it from the start once again this morning, because I really love your ideas and the way you bring them to life...:clap:

Thanks guys, and thanks @kim ! I really appreciate your comment! You are right, i like the old school style, and especially create these lights effects!
When all the parts will be ready, you will have a more clear idea of my vision for this project, and also i have to say that there are a lot of other special things to do!

So guys finally i can show all the case shield painted! It was a long process and with some errors and unexpected events, but in the end the result is really satisfying!

    20200712_112002.jpg

The rear shield of the case was painted with bi color, matte grey and glossy black, and it was very difficult and take me a lot of time.

The new front face finally painted and illuminated it's really mesmerizing!

Some photos with games of light and shadows, to show better the effects of this paint.

    Thanks a lot Defyant!
Today i have some middle week updates!

So i decided to make holes in the feets, initially i don't want holes, but after i realized that they are better with holes, so i maked by myself!

    20200712_150519.jpg 20200712_152526.jpg 20200712_170024.jpg

After i finished the side PSU panels, installed magnets and covered some hex holes to hide the PSU
    20200715_082506.jpg 20200715_082732.jpg 20200715_082759.jpg

Also as you can see, i started to install some interior parts, like radiator and bottom cover (where i maked a big hole), because i need them for take measurement for the next special object.....you will see in the next days!

Good decision for the holes they look way more pro now :thumb: but that psu side cover still blows me away! being able to see the power cables like that is one of the coolest ideas ever. Are you going to light that area up??

Thanks! Of course the cables are already illuminated by the ring around the connectors on the PSU, but i will make also an extra illumination system....

Thanks, but it' not about weight of the feets, but it's about aesthetics! Also i have to say that they are not completed at 100%, i have to refinish the holes and probably sand blasting them!

    I have some update today!
I've started to assembly the reservoir tank to the radiator, i have to make a L shape bracket with aluminium to support it...
I choose this reservoir because i really like the aluminium ends, and also have a the famous t-virus spiral to put inside, really old school!
 But i don't know if in the finish i will put it inside.
    20200715_090648.jpg 20200715_090654.jpg 20200715_090850.jpg

And this is the pump, 18W PWM by BarrowCH, really big and powerfull
    0.jpg

Initially i've planned to place the pump over the cover and simply fix it here...and this pump it's already beautiful with a very good aesthetics....But in the past days i found a special thing (that i will show in the nexts days) and so i maked the big hole in the cover for the pump.
    1.jpg

So these are the finals position of the reservoir and the pump. You can also see that i placed under the reservoir a valve to drain the system for maintenance.
I've also wrapped the interior cover with the same vinyl used in the outside panels.

    20200722_191632.jpg

The reservoir support bracket itàs not finished yet, but at the end will be painted black

I was going to ask about that little bit you had stuck on the res before :D The texture of that vinyl really does look fantastic  Love the ends on that res!

LOL it's just a rubber eraser! And also in the last picture there is a white foam to keep the reservoir straight. It's all temporary, also the pump, because before i have to place all the clables under the covers...
