im not sure if the power situation has been handled, but one thing you could do is un a usb cable into the keyboard with the ps/2 cable. use the ps2/ cable for the keyboard and a bit of power, then use the usb merely for power... they have a playstation2 controller with a fan in it (i know, i know...) similar to that... it uses the usb port for power.

the grey box is the top transparent bit for each switch, the blue box is the bottom bit to hold the circuit :D

    Mines better! \*sticks out tongue*\

Firstly, a set of keys, from 3mm acrylic.

Next, this is the top layer of the sandwich, 2mm polycarb, with holes for the keys cut out. Obvioulsy I will need to leave about 0.5mm clearance in each hole so the key doesn't stick. Look ok?

why that sure does sound mighty tempting mister :D but you would have to ask kong for the price of manufacturing the plexiglass etc.... Anyone know where i could find myself a nice cable to whack onto it?? i could even do my own if i could find some real nice style braiding although EL wire would look niiice along the length of the cable :D

am busy buying electrical components off RS-- just found an electrically conductive adhesive pen-- sounds great!! that should mean that i can just trace the circuits then stick on the components!! no soldering!! no transparency to melt!! that should make the cost significantly lower :D

That is so cool. Btw, do pens which can draw conductive traces on e.g. plastic exist too?
