Welcome to Bit-Tech. This thread will be moved to Modding, I guess. But now to your questions: The arrows are most likely done by pressing the piece of metal into a mould. And what do you want to know about PSU cables? Well, good luck.
yea lol where do they go? like the motherboard and stuff..i know some of them but unfortunately the 4 pin ones...i have no idea where the order goes..last time i tried to help someone we geused it and the bios came up when turning on the pc but the time when it wanted to show windows DID NOT came up...in other words a blank page (black)
First of all, welcome to Bit Tech. Next, put the modding to one side until you have at least a basic working knowledge of ATX wiring. There are plenty of sites that you can look at and pick up some idea of how things work. Here's one: http://www.educypedia.be/computer/pchardwaresupply.htm
Ahadihunter1, no offense intended... but have you built a computer in the past? if so, cool, there's something to start with... if not, do you have someone who can put together a computer? i only ask because some folks have amazing shop skills but lacks in the assembly of a computer part... this will take both skills... that link is very good... you can also use google to find some guides. as the the arrows in the PSU... they were embossed... requires lots of pressure and 1 set of mold (upper and lower) and voila!... kinda tough to DIY. God bless and good luck! PS: i'm glad that it's more peaceful than what media portrays it to be... but i'm sure, those of all faith, were praying for those who were suffering during the turmoil.
This is a computer forum and generally we leave god related things at the door, quit relating to 'it, him or her' and focus on the important things such as the mod and your plans.
Burnout, if he quit focusing on Allah, he'd have no focus for his planned mod. Believe it or not, there are Christian mods as well. Salaam, Ahadihunter, and I bet that an excellent motif for your case would be the Moroccan arabesques that were developed so as not to be caught in the idolatry of displaying effigies (I believe I have that correct, my Arabic is now nonexistent,) maybe with some Arabic script highlighting passages that are personally important. I hope I can help in any way, and even though I'm not Muslim, I am a Person of the Book, but more importantly even though we don't share a faith I'll still support helping you see this through-modding transcends borders to me. For the record, I did a Christian themed mod once. That's like telling the guy that the theme he picked sucks. Poor form.
Hello, Abadihunter. Good luck on your mod and computer you are building. As for design, if I'm not mistaken, you are from Iran and therefore Persian and not Arabic. Although there are similarities in design, Persian art and architecture can be very distinctive and quite beautiful. Some of the fantastic designs in carpet craft and tilework might lend themselves well to what you are planning. The symbolic geometry of circles and squares are found not only in the architectural design, but calligraphy, tilework and patterned motifs. Some of these might work very well for etching on the case. Dragons are quite prominent in Persian mythology, perhaps you have a favorite one. That, as well as the wonderful calligraphy, might have some of the impact you're looking for.
Take a look at this stacker done by grifter, took some digging to find out again. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=140917 Anyway, he used polyurethane modeling board to create the new surface features of the mod. Using the same method you could recreate the nice little arrows you love on that PSU. Shame he never finished the project, because it would have been one of best to appear on this forum, the pictures are very discriptive on how he created the flowing curves of the mod.
