This weekend all the aluminium parts will be polished. I will have to build in all the LEDs and I will have to manage and sleeve the cables. My goal is to have it finished within 4 weeks.

Franklin, do you think its still gives you a kick to do the modding? or have it made you less of it? Cous modding and waiting al the time brings the projekt down to crap, not like yours if you understand.

    @ CaPs_On: it's a ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe

@ Razor_cut: I love working on the mod. My problem is the time I have to do the modding. I even have some ideas for modding the pc I am currently using, but that will have to wait for a long time. Not everyone appreciates me modding all the sparetime  Often I work on things that I don't show here on the forum, just trying out things I haven't done before.

But now this mod is coming close to the end. I want to visit some casemod contests this year, to see where I stand with my case. Maybe I will meet even some people that can help me financing future mods. I know I will enjoy visiting these events, even when I don't even win any of those contests.

I broke the acrylic part that comes under the grill :waah: I started over again and this time with acrylic that is a bit thicker, 5mm.

I've got all the UV stuff to finish the cables. The ACRyan Roundcable2-FX is ideal to connect two DVD drives, no unneeded long cable between the two drives.

Just when I seem to get near the end of the project I get even more ideas. This is only a small modification. I liked the AC Ryan MeshX in combination with the UV acrylic so much I wanted to do some more in the same style. I mean this combination

Because I don't want to get overkill in the case itself I decided to do something with this part.

This is the cover from the fanhole in the back of the case. What I want to do is to cut out the double X ( from my AlumaxX logo ) and fill it up with the MeshX/ acrylic combination.

With some UV LED shining on this it should look quite nice, I think.

To give you an idea of what I mean this quick sketch.

I see I made a small mistake in the drawing. The acrylic, MeshX will be placed behind the aluminium, so the bolts are in the wrong place in the drawing.

After three evenings of sawing, all the "legs" from the grill are ready. I only have to file it a bit.

Very nice on the grill... BTW how did you cut it...?

You do have a lot of filing to do still, but it will be hard with the lexi grill you choose...

(I have made several of these types of grills and have broken several more... they are not easy to pull off...

Very nice... should look good when it is finished... Even having done this a few times it is almost easier to have the part laser cut... very tedious work.

    Good Job again! :eeek:

    Looks great.

Simple and clean design is probably what describes your mod as.

    Thanks for all your comments.

I ordered all the LEDs that I will need and today I also placed an order for some LEDholders. I will use some normal chrome LEDholders, but also a special one with a lens.

Where did you order those led holders from? They look to be the kind I have been searching for.

Back on topic now, This is a sweet project, nice work with all the acrylic parts! Keep it up

Your work on the plexiglass is impressive. :thumb:

I wanted to know if your tank posed not problem with your graphics boards.
Don't the connections touch the gforce?
I posed my radiator at the same place and I will like to put my tank aquatube as holds it but I think that my gforce will touch (SLI gforce 6800GT Leadtek)
