this is looking really sweet. Very clean edges and innovative designs so far. I love the way that your top rad. grill looks too. I hope to see more of this soon!

I wanted to see if it was easy to bend the UV acryl glas, so I heated it and tried to bend a piece.

It was quite simple to do it, so I can use it for some parts of the mod.

    Today I received my PSU.

I just have to open it to get a better look at it.

I kind of like the look of the copper watercooling element inside. I will have to modify the PSU so that it will be visible.

All I have to do is make a cover and mount it to the PSU.

I don't know if this will be hard, but could you chrome the copper PSU block? Combined with a normal white transparent window it'd look sooooo clean. Would fit so well with your overall theme and case.

    Keep on modding! :dremel:

stupid idea... then i would have to unscre the whole thing from the mosfets ets... and it wouldn't be very visible anyway... just looks like a waste of time from where I'm sitting.

Thanks for calling the idea stupid. He will have a side window so it'll be very visible. But oh well, was just an idea, no need to insult me cause of it. :miffed:

I don't know if you can chrome copper directly, I think you would have to go through several other (expencive) chemical processes before it could be chromed (though I may be wrong).

    Looks really nice dude :thumb:

Non conductive (eg plastic) items can be chrome plated by the following process (just go with me on this - I read this in a magazine article):

Sprayed with a carbon compound (to make conductive)
    Electroplated with COPPER
    Electroplated with a nickle layer
    Electoplated with chrome.

So.... in answer to the question, yes you can chrome copper. The nickle plating is an automatic step that they do (kind of like spraying undercoat before final paint colour). It should be included in any quote you get.

    Back on topic....

Nice work so far. :thumb: keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing the final result.

The cover for the PSU is ready. Coming saturday it will be mounted. It will be just in front and above the PSU, because it is not allowed to close it comlpletely.

At last the PAPST 120 mm. fans have arrived. Here you see them on the Black Ice Xtreme 2 radiator

and with the radiator installed in the case.

The UV acryl is attached with a piece of tape at the moment.
