Great mod m8, but one thing, why didn't you add the black plastic before you got to the level of the connecting wires so it just looked like a load of floating LED's.

    Thanks guys!

That is a good question, the reason is simple, I wanted to show off the wire mesh I had worked so hard with :D It makes me think of musical notes.

I guess this is the pic you are refering to:

It was in the very early stages, just after the LED block was completed.

as i said before that is a very nicely done mod, so what does the computer do is is just your mp3 player or can it act like a tivo & do other fancy stuff)

ps nice tv in your last pic, you just had to rub salt into the wounds of ups people still using 14ince tvs :cries:

It has a couple of uses, mainly to play MP3, but if needed it can play DivX/SVCD/VCD. Another useful thing is to do websurfing/chatting/posting during comercials...
Trust me, I know your pain of 14" TVs, I had a 14" one during a very long time until I could afford this lovely 32" Panasonic.

PS, did I mention that it is 100Hz also :D

you meanie showing off your la di da tv sets  not even the widescreen tv in the front room (still living with parents) is 100hz but my 14inch tv is a good set (i modded the power led to a bloo 1 :D), 5 years old, cost £150 from new in sales, taking a feed from a anologue sattelite box, itv digital box, vid & dvd as well as my old retro gaming consoles (nes, snes, master system) only problem remote broken but as i use the decoders to cange channels & dont use the tv tuner im sorted & i have a surrond amp so dont need the tv volume.

thought about using it to emulate all those old classic games?, im sure if you asked melbin nice enough (&sent him the money of course, think hes selling them for £13 including a remote & the config file set upi in the sales thread) he would send you a remote sensor if you could find a way of wiring a 2nd com port to that board(me loves having bit forums on a remote control button & wiamps is soo easy to use with remote)

That is very cool. The led f/x are excellent. I can see people trying that for their front blow holes on a wire frame so it doesnt effect airflow
