Case Mod - In Progress Project: AnG3L -MOTM April 2009 Winner- (FINISHED!!! June 19)

I did asked in this worklog to suggest the color scheme and we agreed to the black orange green! The combination is nice in my opinion as an artist I know that 2 colors in a large combination is eye tiring. So these colors I believe they are nice, I explained in this worklog my theory about the mod before.

"So , I will tell you my philosophy around the mod for one last time!!! A man to survive in this world creates a shield of defense , showing the dark side of himself and his superiority over the others. An angel does the same BUT just like a disguise so he wont be recognized into the crowd.
Thats the outside part of the mod! But as each one of us has a strong side, we also have our sensitive. This is the interior. We also have joys and good times. Colors! Moments of happiness!

Also my friend Bad Cancer posted a picture when we were discussing the colors and it was very nice so I decided to go with green. Thanks man I like it but I would like orange only too .... I dunnooooooooooooooo!!! I am not in the mood to do all these things from the beginning again....

 

thats cool, just keep going don't need to start over. Im sure it will look good and anyway if you are happy with it, thats all that really counts, if others like it, its a bonus.

anyway tastes vary enormously so no worries...(damn i say this a lot on here)

 

I might go with black tubing and orange anti kink coils, I dunno.... since the beginning of the mod I was thinking about that.... help meeeeeeeeeeee

I have been blown away by the amout of care and skill that has been put into this case and all of the amazing ideas that you have had.

I just think the final design is a little "loud" for me.

 

Loud? You mean not nice? I dont understand!

 

He means the colours are quite bright, it's a bit full and it has a general "loud" feeling to it.

But in my opion it's fine as it is now. Just make sure you don't completely overdo it (also called overkill if you wish).

Nice anyway, I love it!

 

I am not going to add anything else its almost done (wait for some ram). Please help me guys I dont want all my effort to go waste. I would like to like it also so if you think I have to change something tell me pls!

 

Hmm not sure what your sidepanel ideas were (completely closed or a sidewindow) excuse my ignorance but if you didn't plan it yet, I would suggest to use a small window in the side of your panel so you can see your mobo area? I guess that would be a nice addition, but maybe you have something else planned I don't know.

The case itself looks really good, the only bad thing I can think of are the 2 orange painted horizontal pieces of aluminium? Or is that steel I don't know. They are a bit overkill in my opinion and they were the first thing I noticed when I saw the picture. Maybe black ones would be better or a mixture of both colours.

2 orange painted horizontal pieces of aluminium? You mean the bar between the dvd cage and the pump? I changed that with a textured one! Also the side panels done a loooong time ago! You can see them on this worklog! Thanks for your ideas buddy!

use clear tubing without anti kink coils and go for red/orange coolant

 

this is a kick-ass case (yeah).

but i am afraid i agree the green is not a good idea. the whole case screams black and orange. and than there is the green, like a lost child in the crowd on a 'dress code: orange' death metal concert.
and as i love metal, and i love children, i do not like the combination.

you should follow your own gut, but ours is telling you to go orange/black.

and plz put some pictures with side panels attached and stuff.

 

Sorry, when I read a thread I generally skim and look at pictures, I must have missed the colour discussion.

The green makes an unusual feature but it really does stick out a lot and doesn't really fit well with the fluorescent orange used on the rest of the case. Personally I think you should use orange coolant and black hose with the orange anti kink coils. Having black and clear tubing would look out of place even if you did have the orange coolant. It is your mod though so do what you think looks best, doesn't matter what we think.

Cool, looking nice, i dunno i kinda like the green thrown in there. with some black coils, and a bit of green somewhere else...hmm.

well like alpaca and john said just follow your gut this is your mod after all.

Thanks guys for your comments and ideas! I went with black tubing and orange anti kink coil BUT the fluid is green so is visible only in the reservoir! It looks awesome! I wanted to go with my philosophy so now its like the heart of the AnG3L! I will post some pictures later on so stay tuned!

I am about to upload the last pics but I dont want to reduce them to 640x480 is there any possibility for me to upload them in photobucket and get them resized here? I mean I am going to upload them 1280x800 and in here would be the proper size and once you click on it will resize back to normal? My English sucks I know I hope you understood!
