You're mod is amazing!!
I love that blue color, can't wait to see the final results!
SIMSY: i got a central compressed air system at my work and the compressor itself is on the roof of the building so i really have no idea of how noisy it is. but i believe smaller compressors can be bought for personal use, dont know about the prices though
and now for the update
today i polished the front bezel and began the work on the drives area cover
the polishing compound i used for the job. on the left is the polish on the right is the finishing glaze. 3M for life!
almost completely assembled panel with bulgin switches and the drives cover (i still have to cut the holes for the CD/DVD bays and drill some for the zalman controller)
another reflection shot
eye candy anyone?
(my words won't be able to describe that front panel)
Fantastic! The front panel (and top) looks great, especially with the brushed alu/blue paint contrast.
very good work,
i love the blue color (and the great pulishe), waiting for the next update
great paint finish man who did you wire those bulgins?
keep up the good work
elliod: i used the wires from the original switches that came with the case and soldered them to the bulgin switches according to the sketch that can be downloaded at bulgin website, 2 wires for the switch itself and 2 more for the leds, then heatshrinked it and finally sleeved it with vantec sleeving kit. on the final sleeving i used special heatshrinks that pollute a glue layer from the inside when heated and that secures them much better on the sleeve and doesnt let it spread out
What's the name of your currency? The 10 looks almost like the 10 of Finnish marks from <2001 Nice case though
That'd be the new sheqalim:

i love the blue, this is one sweet looking job. Cant wait to see it all done
i got 1 more update for you before the weekend.
i kinda ruined the original drives cover plate i made 2 days ago, mostly cause of lack of experience with plexi. i drilled the holes for the fanbus at a very low RPM and that caused the drilling bit to get caught in the plexi and rip it apart
oh well... after 20 mins cooldown period i began the work on the new panel and this time it came out pretty good.
of course all the edges are to be polished but its about 95% done
other than that i got my hexagon mesh from EBAY today. its identical to the mesh mnpctech is selling at his website only this 1 is made from aluminium. very easy to work with
along with the mesh came about 2m of rubber U-molding
well thats about it for today, ill put that mesh to use in my next update, stay tuned and have a nice weekend
that front bezel, is simply perfect.
Whoa, very good indeed
Very nice indeed ssR, been following this project for a while, as always good work and attention to detail. I'll be keeping a eye on this Log.
Nice front panel,,
Keep it up like this
the only thing missing at this panel atm is the lcd screen. at 1st i wanted to make a parralel to usb converter since i dont have a parallel port on my mobo but then Starbuck37337 told me about pci to parallel cards, so i ordered one, hopefully it will arrive shortly so i can solder everything and finally call the front bezel complete
time for another update. i painted the side panel today. here are the pics
Looking great so far. Clean job to the maxXxz
You've got skills. Great paint job mate.
