    Hi.
You could call me an artist if you want, as I work with inc and watercolor and even make oil paintings. Here can you see some examples:

Please take a look on my paintings, the page is not i English yet but I am working on that. Good that the images is on both languages . Fell free to contact me about the paintings.

To my first case modding attempt called “project art"

    sponsor for this project is:

The idea is to take a case and paint it white and do some modifications on it and use it as my canvas. I will also go to some museum and art gallery's and get them to show the case and paintings togheter there. As I think some custom build cases and computer modding also should be an excepted art form. I think "M-CUBE2" by hotton is an excellent exampel of that.

Here is some of my early sketches.

    1.right side panel
    [IMG]

2.Wiev from the side. The thing that sticks out from the fan in the front is a brush.

And the case I will use did arrive in it's box.

Homer doing an inspection of the new case.

And here is the box with parts from my sponsor Noctua.

    First we have some stickers.

Next out of the box was two case badges.

And last two of Noctua's award winning NF-P12 120mm fans!

And here is the disassembling of the case.

3 small screws to take out the harddisk cage
    [IMG]

The harddisk cage will not be used any more.

All the buttons and usb ports is disassembled from the front.

    More to come.
And don't forget to visit my galley at LCart.eu.

Back with some more updates on the disassembling of the case.

    Front is taken apart.

Will fill the small gap around the buttons to make it more smooth.

Some plastic padding applied to the front on both sides.

Time to start sanding the sides on the front.

Need little more to get it smooth.

Yeah the case is a Cooler Master Elite 340 mATX size and it is very cheap to and the quality is very good. Did get it for something around $ 46 or 30 euro.

Time for some updates on project art.
Finished with the plastic padding on the front so time for some white paint.

    Sponsor.

And the motherboard tray and the roof plus the silver colored part on the front did get some wet sanding before some coats of white paint.

Here is a spray can with some white color.

And after some coats of paint.

The result on the part with the plastic padding wasn't the best so it need some more sanding.

Did spray it with some kind of filler.

Time to paint it again. :thumb:

    Think it looks great now.

And don't forget to visit my site will ad some more paintings to the gallery soon.

Maybe wrong to call it plastic padding it is the brand of the product. It is some kind of glass fiber filler.

And thanks for the comment guys :D.

Did update my gallery on LCart.eu today with four new paintings.

Back to the modding of the case.

Time to cut out some holes for the fans to get better airflow in the case.
Only have a dremel to cut with but the result was okay.

And this is what he did send me. Very nice craftsmanship. :thumb:

Back again with some more updates.

Did some sanding on the inside of the case and here is what I did end up with.

And we need a fan grill for the fan in the back of the case.
This was my first idea how it would look.

But didn't like it so much so did change the design on it, sorry forgot to take pictures on it but here is it after some cutting and sanding.

The fan grill will get some more sanding and be painted blue.

Some small changes to design. The inside, frame or what you will call it will be painted in blue.
Had some old spray can with some blue paint on the shelf that did look cool. Here is what it looks like.

One of the doors up for some white paint.

It looks like I got some splashes of white color on the the right side, but it just the image. Looking fine here and happy with the result.

And the other small change in the design is the front will keep the the mesh in the front but make some changes to it. Will make some kind of pattern with some filler in it but decide to see how it looks with the same blue as I did use on the inside of the case.

    ready for some paint.

    The result.

    Feet's is mounted.

Putting the front together again to see how it looks.

The award winning NF-P12 120mm fans from Noctua did get installed too.

Time to put on the fan guard.

    Front on again.

And don't be afraid to send me a mail of you have some questions about my paintings or the case. :D
