Good morning to all modders here at bit-tech,

Here is another project, started because i feel the need for modding, as my other projects are in a holding state:

    - Project Linear is waiting for some parts that are in an auto paintbooth (the work is going to be free, so i must wait)...
    Project Linear

    - Project Redstak is almost finished, only lacking a few minor details, but it's my daily workhorse, so it'll have to wait 'till Project Linear gets done...
    Project Redstak

All of this as taken to another Project, as i had a big old server case waiting for some sparkles...

This case come from an old At Server (Pentium Pro), and it's a bit unusual, for example, i can desmount all the case to pieces and mount it again as it only uses bolts (not rivets) and this makes things a little easier...

By other and, it's not alluminium made, but 2mm thick steel, wich makes it more hard to cut away...

Enough talk... Let's see some pictures...

In his original shape, already with the crappy hardware gone...

It wasn't very uggly, and has a very good built...

As a big tower, it has very space...

The switchs, leds, and safetty buttons...

    Mmmmm, good space to draw....

It was very dirty, even after a blow with the compressor it remained very, very dirty...
It had to take a full bath with water and soylent... Then i could start work on it...

First step, was to take the rear off (only six bolts to unscrew).
As it was AT, i will transform it to semi-btx (atx upside down).

The cuts will be done by the pencil mark.

    Here, already inverted...

Already cut, inverted and mounted to fake btx...

The cut is still rough, it needs some filling...

For now, this part is going to remain like this, i'm gonna move to one of the side panels.

    Preparing the first cut...

Done with dremel (cutting discs and a litlle drill for the details)...

Still rough, i think i'm yet gonna spend many hours finishing it...

The keyboard is all yours to start posting...

    Update!

    Little work done....

The window traced out and two more details to the face of the angel...

It's a simple window, some round corners....

    Angel in detail...

I drilled first, 'cause with the cuts done it'll be more difficult to do the holes...

    Another...

Window opened and the angel details done....

    Always wear protection....

    Some detail work...

The window, needs filling on the edges...
Don´t mind the motherboard tray, it was a test...

Gonna try do some more work this week...

Great use of the dremel there, the angel/winged person looks really nicelly done, the edges looked dulled and smoothed, are they or is that a to-do?
Also whats going in this hulk of a steel-case? Media Server? Gaming Rig? A bit of both?

Looks good so far, all the case really nees in a good clean with some jif and it'll look even better, even more so with the window and angel motif...

Thanks, it took some time to cut that angel... The edges are still pretty rough, it'll have much work 'till perfection...

You made me laugh with "this hulk of a steel-case", i still don´t know what system it'll have 'cause it's a spare case, and i don't even got the system to put in it...

I would like to put the system in the top portion of the case, and in the bottom the watercooling parts... we'll see...

I'm not going to clean more, 'cause i'll sand all of it and them paint...

    Thanks again...
