Case Mod - In Progress Project: ATCS 840

First of all i got to thank Intel for again making another killer mod possible by getting me a hand picked i7 965 CPU so at least while the rest of the case is away getting painted i can hopefully get the system up and running all be it on the bench and without the final GFX cards but its a start in the right direction as there is only 21 days to go.

Well, these simple little rails turned out taking a lot longer to complete than i'd originally thought but they are done now and look great so i'm well pleased with them and its another box ticked

Once again, the polished rods look amazing.

 

That top and front grill turned out very well.

I've never been so indecisive about what colour to paint a case so i've done a quick photochop to give some kind of idea what it would look like.

The safe bet is to go with black but i've already done black with the Cosmos so was thinking about being a little more adventurous but if it turn out bad there isn't any time to change my mind so i'd be stuck with it.

Gloss Black or Candy Red??

I think the gloss black is really sweet, the red colour doesn´t really go with that case :/

Even if you had a black car before, its still legal to buy a new black car

Black is just the ultimate colour and i know you can pull something nice out of it

But a question, have you tried to test fit the dual resevoir yet? I have just bought a ATCS 840 myself, but there is some small pins who need to be removed to fit a dual bay res, and im not that brave :/ not good coolermaster, not good at all....

The red does look very nice but I think the black will go better.

 

I like the black better.But you could paint the inside candy red.

 

or if your so undicided go with both black with red stipes or red with black stripes! would give it a racier feel to the build.

having seen coolmiesters work before and going by past experience (i have been one happy customer of his) i know this will turn out super .... i don't know what to vote the black looks sexy with the alu but the red look just as sexy

Blood Red = Awesome.

 

I like the look of the red case although i think you should leave the areas with the polished alu as black.

Between red and black, always black. You could use some red, but mostly for details. Too much red hurts my eyes.

Maybe dark grey and black?

 

I like the combo choice. Bit of both.
