Yah in the process of trying to track down the painter he was supposed to be back with the body on friday he took it home to do the final base coat as he has the facilitys for it but now has gone MIA :wallbash: and i am now in the process of trying to find out what happend

I am hoping to have this resolved this week i just hope nothing happend to the body :waah: or will have to start the body from scratch again and that will delay this a bit.

But no fear i tracked down anouther one so if that is the case i will have a replacement on firday

I have a friend out in Calmar who is amazing with the airbrush - should you need a new painter, might want to give him a shout.

PM me for his email address, if you'd like.

Well this is just a small update and some new news I tracked down the body for the SSR  so all is good.

So will have some more on that in the next few days so keep checking back

Here is the update i got the Riser card in today and got looking at the hosing on the water cooling and figured it would interfere with the vid card and also the riser card was a little shorter then i had planned for so going to see if i can get one that is just a little bit taller they make one now just a matter of seeing if i can get on in in time.

So here is a shot of the old setup with the tubing.

Now the new tubing what i did was mount some 90 degree elbows to the water block so that the hosing is less restricted as well as gives clearance for the vid card.

From the back give you an idea on how close this is

Here is a shot of the test card mounted into the riser card it is a little angled because of the risercard not being tall enough but with the new one it will be flat i checked all the measurments this time (this is what happens when you don't have all the parts when you first start a new build)

Here it is from the back looks like this design will work sorry about the lack of good pics but had to borrow a cam form a buddy for this one and will be without a camera for a few days now.

So that is about it for now will do some further updates as soon as i get the body back and have that started

    Body painting

Well tracked down the Artist he showed up with the body so finally have it painted.

This has put me a little behind on this but should be ok.

So now on to the pics.

    The start

Now to add a little color.

This is starting to take shape now.

Now a little bit of orange.

And then we top it off with a little blending.

Ok this looks a lot easier in the pics then it was in real time took about 2 days to do this.

Now it's time to add some graphics decided to get the best look decals would be the best way to go so time to print them up and start cutting them out.

This was not that much fun.

SO here are some pics of it finished still might have to put a couple more coats of clear but this is starting to look like the design i wanted.

And last but not least the hood.

There is still a little detail stuff left but i have to find some clear sticker paper so that i can do the lettering on the hood as well as the doors but that should not be to much of a problem. may just have to go to a printshop to get these done we will see .

So now time to do all the lights and get the body mounted back on the frame and finish this one up.

Just have not put them back on the are removable so no use in leaving them on and have to mask them off.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what kind of paper did you used for those decals? Is it OK for vinyl-died surfaces?

Thanks and very good job!
