Hello all im still a little new at modding i have modded a old ps2 mouse but that isnt a biggy. Ok well heres the idea i have an old ammo CRATE laying here in my garage i want to turn it into a audio pc for mainly winamp "COUGH"kazaa"COUGH" and various other audio programs. Right now im looking to gather all the parts to start so if anyone has any old parts laying around you are willing to sell please post a picture,description, and price you want for it here and if i need it ill try to work with ya and buy it from ya THANKS PS ALL SUGESTIONS NEEDED

ok it stopped raining so i went and gots some pics of the case and various other things 1st off lets take a look at my old workshop ok now the new 1 im fixing to move into the inside of the new shop and 1 of my 1st modding experiences that i never finished EL DIABLO and now for the case i am planning on using ok well i hope you peoples post some parts on here i need em
ooh its all ready to mod nice workshop btw well first, are you happy with the wood look? or do you perhaps wanna paint it to make it look metaly? just a suggestion is it going to be a total conversion? ie. will you be able to tell its a PC at first or not? looks like this could be a beasty mod cant wait to hear some ideas myself good luck
yes i want to keep the wood look and no you will think its a ammo crate not a pc im thinking on adding a laptop lcd were it folds up with the lid so i dont have to tote a monitor Ok up for grabs i got what i think is a 1700 i know its a amd athlon well heres the pics WILL TRADE FOR INTEL PROCESSOR
this plastic case is definately pimp. i think its like the one zap used in his project. anyway, if you build in the wooden box, make an artificial shelf that has a bunch of those empty bullet casings like you get at army/navy stores. then when you open it, itll look like ist full of bullets. er, maybe im the only one that thinks that would be neat.
GO OLD SCHOOL! The plastic one looks to modern day, to...counter-strikeish. Go with a Call of Duty or BF1942 theme. Make it out of the wood one, it would look soooo much better. Not to mention would be a lot easier to make seeing how its wood. I think it would look a lot better in the wood. Keep us up to date! *edit* Or, I have a few empty metal canasiters like they used on water missions during WWII. You could go that way and actually have it waterproof.
ok i think i might stick with the wood crate does anyone know were i can find dummy bullets? also im still looking for almost all the insides of the case mb,processor,ram,psu and a operating system i too have some of those metal cases i have alot of stuff i have had for a year now and just got the guts to start chopping it up to make a pc
go to an army suruplus store. they usually have em in all sizes. from 9mm to 100s of mms. army surplus stores are littered all around big-ish cities. look in the yellow pages. try maybe army/navy too.
motherboard question! is it possible to re wire ALL the stuff comming out of a motherboard to put it on a faceplate? i want to take off the ps2 connectors and usb connectors and audio mic connectors and have it on the fake shelf that will have bullets around them so you have to open the case to plug in monitor/mouse/keyboard/speakers/usb devices is it possible to do this?
dont remove them, just make your own extensions. hack up a ps2 cable and a usb cable and attach your own connectors to it.
i cant cause the case is too small to add anything the damn mobo is 9.60 x 12 and the crate is like 9.5 so i will have to do some work on it to start with
