I know I'm a nub here, but I've done some mods before, actually I just had my Project: Hive Mind featured in the latest PC Modder Mag, I'll make a post about that in the Gallery.

Anyway, after creating a textured exterior, I wanted something simple, yet stylish for LANs, so I'm making Bebop, a case themed after the Cult Classic Cowboy Bebop. Its an anime..

The Case is a Cooler Master Centurion 2:

    The Rear:

    Close up of the Front:

    The Chasis:

I cut 4 holes in the chasis. Cutting alloy is 100 times easier than cutting a steel case. My dremel went through this case like butter! It was so easy!

    Front 12cm hole:

The Back, where the old 80mm was.

    The Bottom of the case:

    The Mobo panel:

Next thing is to drill the holes for the 120mm fan, grind all the cuts, and get some rubber grommats for the holes. I might cut up the chasis a little further, I'm not sure.

Note: That all the cuts shown have yet to be grinded down.

Heres what I have planned for the exterior:

I like what I've got sofar, but I want to encorporate
Ein and Ed into the front. I'll see what I can come up with, but it'll probably be some sort of stencil over the front, done in Hot Pink or a Neon Purple.

I’ve already started to lay out the complicated dremel work on each of the side panels.

Here is Jet on the top panel.

Here's the more complicated cut of the three planned thus far: Spike.

And just to show you guys how I made the outlines, these are the stencils I used, which I made using Photoshop.

I’m open to comments and suggestions, but as it stands I think this case is almost written in stone, design wise.
    :D

Very nice. I haven't seen a Bebop theme before. I wish I'd thought of it myself. The silhouettes are very nice. Good work.

Yeah, the rear exhaust fan was in total need of a makeover. I'll be replacing it with two 8cm fans. I finished the outline for the right panel shortly after that post.

    Heres the right panel.

You might ask yourself: "What the heck is with the Letters?"
The par that will be cut out of the case will be the shadow for the Actual Letters which will be spray painted on, and will look like the same as the series intro's letters.

    Rear Window?

Might just be me but.... Does anyone else think that cutting fan blowholes and excess metal to the side of the PCI slots would make a great place to put a window. I don’t mean in terms of being able to ogle the innards of your pc from this window - but if you imagine such a pc case sitting next to you on your desk then you would be able to see right the way through your case. Mounting the rear fan onto the acrylic would be easy enough.

Also this should allow extra light into the case, making more parts more visible. Just a thought, props for getting rid of that (restrictive) blowhole.

    Pete

Cowboy Bebop is an original Anime series about an Ex-detective (Jet), working with an Ex-Mob member (Spike) and thier adventures as intergalatic bounty hunters. They meet Fe (a gamling addicted girl from before the Earth was desolated) as well as Ed, (a hacker girl) and Ein ( A genious Dog).

Its a very well done series. One of my all time favorites. Hence the Mod. :D

Anyway, I figured Jet would be the easiest of the 3, and that I should practice my technique on him, and the Left panel before I try my hand at Spike himself.

Yeah, cuz, OMG, liking something that is 'out of style' is, like, sooo last friday!!!1!!

Ehem. Anyway, Cowboy Bebop is cool. And man you know how to use that dremel..

I love that plane you used in the side window (always wanted to put that on a tshirt myself), but i'd leave Fey out of there.. would look nicer I think.
And i second the 'Ed just *has to* come in somewhere' :D

Great theme, Cowboy Bebop is still to my mind one of the best animes ever. I love the silhouette idea, its looking great. As for the Cowboy Bebop going out of fashion statement, is it currently in fashion? The show is 7 years old has it suddenly swung back into the limelight?
