OK, is see what you see.. It's shadow, that I promise. I cut the Lian Li side panel so that the Indian Larry clutch cover over-laps that area by a good 5mm, same goes for that area of the rotor. In fact, that may have been too-much!!
It looks strange when view from the back-side (sorry, no pictures. I will shoot some ASAP)..
Shooting pictures like these (black and chrome) is difficult. I shot with flash, short of dragging the thing out in the sun-- no choice. What happens is too-bright (ugly chrome-reflections) or too-dark (chrome that does not look like chrome). PhotoShop helps, you tend to use the darker pictures and adjust brightness/contrast. That gives you a lot of shadows, and that is what we are looking at..
I appreciate your feed-back. In your previous post you use the word " imperfection", that is a fact. The project is full of them. No CNC in my SlaughterHouse.. A tape measure- a Sharpie- a Dremel.. and the slogan.."that looks close".. my credo:
    MS

If those imperfections are all you have to worry about (and it seems like there are no bigger issues) then you're lucky as hell. :) And damn your work is more than impressive and the dedication and determination and attention to detail is even more so.
What would be possible if you had the chance of getting your hands on some CNC work? ;) That's close to perfect? I'd say damn-near-the-closest-I've-ever-seen close.

Thanks Bas, I love IL bikes. What was really-great about his machines is that he used them! He did not just build them and take pictures.. IMHO, there is a strong-relationship between what he did and what we-do. "Functional-art", is what he built, and I would say we all strive to do the same. Art has many mediums. Metal-paint-glass-stone-- the list goes on and on. Building a custom bike (or computer) you get to use/combine any-all on that list. That is a great thing!! But, just like IL's bikes, at the end of the day our custom computers need to work and be dependable-machines.. and thus functional-art..
I have not-yet had time to mock-up the RED led lighting for the side panel.
Yesterday was spent on "real-world" stuff... :grr: only today remains of my vacation (which went by in the blink on an eye).. I will try to mock it up, I can't promise!

I know what you mean about functional-art it is so much more fun if you can use your creation.
As a coincidence a few days ago i saw the IL tribute bike on tv they used the same brass pushrod collars as you have got :D
Hope you get some mock up done, would love to see those ? light up red.

Look fatastic, and I agree with you, the clutch cover needs more light, but the final look is amazing! Go on , modsquad, let me dream once again!

Thanks guys! I am very happy with the side panel. It looks great in person. The problem is shooting pictures to show lighting and at the same time, show the chrome-parts. These two pictures are very-close to what I see:

This has not been a good week for me, and I have a few real-world issues to address before I can get back to work (play) on the machine. Could be a week or so before the next session, please bear with me.

What about using chrome molding instead of black modling around the fanholes? Will fit the overall look beter I think.

    Futhermore, good job!
