im sorry, i think you misunderstood me. i meant it would be cooler if it were etched mirror. i know it is clear polycarbonate. just a suggestion for your next mod, as you seem to have etching nearly perfected!
This is coming along very nicely. Good job with all of the engraving so far. I have a question though, could you possibly describe how you made those LED stick things? Thanks a lot.
Hi. I made this from printed electric circuit panel. I graved the circuit, but you can buy a special fluid to eat the brass from the panel. Check this: http://www.pcbfab.com/ Look at this: On first, black is brass, yellow is bakelite. Some macro pics (I've got a new camera yee ) soldering good enough blue led Resistor depends on the type of leds, I used hi-bright blue leds with 100 ohm resistors, and I connected this to 5V.
Front panel is ready. I fixed alu sheets with epoxy. Light test: I changed psu fan, I bought a Noctua NFS121200 ultra silent fan, and I removed the fan grill to reduce noise:
I've got a Scythe Kamakiri cooler from my sponsor. It's good, but not quiet enough. I changed the original scythe fan with Noctua NF-R8. I made a little upgrade, I bought new VGA. My current config: AMD 2200+ @ 200*11 @ 1,92V > Abit NF7 2.0 SL Hynix 2x512/400 DDR Asus GeForce 6800 MAXTOR 80 GB sata Pioneer 111d DVD-RW Black mobile rack with 3 fan The original VGA fan was tooooo loud, so I bought a silent Accelero X1. It was good, but there is not enough place in the case. I cutted 8mm from the blower.
The case is ready, these are final pics. I want to make 1 more thing, a front panel door to hide black dvd and rack.
WOW, that's one impressive case! That plexi just looks great Just curious, why the name Black Zodiac?
The group of ghost is the Black Zodiac. This case is a cage of ghosts, graved text from Bible keep them in.
