Was thinking about engraving one of the bay inserts

But as stated at the front page the PC needs to look professional as well as being a modded case. I actually like the understated looks and I really like the silver-black contrast.

I will be tidying up the inside soon and adding a small switchbox for LED's and CCFL's

Hmm...Black3d logo on top bay cover :)

I personally think it looks finished; it's very easy to go on and on and knowing when to stop is a skill in itself. Understated is a far better look imo than 'busy' or 'cluttered'.

    Project Update/refresh

    Update:

Been a little busy with reviewing and deciding what to do with the project. Am moving soon so modding is on hold but I'm going to do a parts refresh

Just got my replacement Alphacool NexXxos GPU block. The first one was lost in transit :( But Alphacool sorted it :)

    Looks friggin sweet

I will certainly be making a GPU loop somewhen soon. It's either the Alphacool or the Eddie EK block :)

    New Parts for a refresh:

    Gigabyte GA_965P_DS4 (Socket 775) Pre-ordered
    Conroe E6600: Awaiting Stock
    RAM Still Deciding

I'd definitly go with the EK block as it's the most impressive block I've ever seen.
Nice parts you got there. :)

I've also got the EK block on the way for a review so I'll then decide which one I want :)

I would put a second res in the top 3.5 slot to complete the look. other then that I think you have a great case. Those new parts should be badass..

They should be pretty nice :) and thanks

I see your point about the top bays. They are a bit plain at the moment. I don't really wanna add another res to further complicate the loop (plus there isn't really enough room) but yes: something needs to go there. Something that doesn't take up too much room inside the case, but completes the look. Maybe a cathode switch and some LED's?? What dya think?

I agree the second res would complicate things. I switch panel would work really well with the added functionality of it. I'd go with that :)

    I know!!

Finally decided on RAM and mobo

Cancelled: Gigabyte DS4 (going to take too long and I need Multi-GPU for reviews)
Have ordered: Asus P5w DH Deluxe (again) and some GSkill PC2 6400 (CAS 5). Going to tighten it up and run my sexy 6600 very fast :)

Small Update - Cathode switch installed inder USB Cover

Cut away part of the USB Holder in the front of the Lian Li with my dremel to put in my cathode switch. Trimmed with blowhole trim. Looks pretty sweet IMO :)

Tomorrow's the Big Intel Day...plus I'll be "going green" in my loop :)

what about a white (or light blue if they exist?) ccfl to go with the UV blue one you're using? From the pic with the case lit up it doesn't seem to do the window justice. I think a bit of light and shade (so to speak) would do your case justice immeasurably :thumb:
