Oh my! That's about the sweetest etch i've ever seen! The best mods comes from scandinavia ... (both Zap and G-gnome are undercover swedes actually... :p ) But uhm... Nice work, can't wait to see the whole thing assembled and glowing. This is modporn! :D

Edit: on another side, wtf is wrong with the forums? It's like totally TOTALLY changed. :p

Several things I wish to say...

Firstly, well done on having the guts first off to build a plexi case from scratch. They don't always turn out as good as on paper, but I think we can all say that your workmanship is fantastic. The case shape is very good, and your hole cutting :dremel: is perfect!! How you use up that ammount of hard disk space is beyond me, and I can't help but think how much heat os going to be generated by them. How close are the disks from eachother? This is definatly somthing that needs to be thought about. But apart from that, wow. Your etching belongs in a hall of fame, truly. Although not my choice of drawings, the detail is amazing.

I can't wait to see the finished product. So far, it's brilliant. Keep the sweet work comming!!

    Sir Overclock-

The harddrives has about 1cm space between them and is cooled by 2x80mm fans that keeps the air flowing around them. I have 7 80mm fans cooling the case and the temp is
35 celsius chassie and 46 idle/cpu so its cool enough :)

    3vil-grin-
the uv etch turned out so good that i tink ill use it in the case :)

Beautiful work on the case Wolverine! Your engraving skills are superb.
I've been thinking about methods & dimension for making the drive supports for my own project. What dimensions did you use to layout all those holes for the drive bays? and how/where did you get those dimensions?

    Cheers

I got the measurments froman old case i had lying around and then added a few mm to get more space between the drives for better airflow. The holes are drilled with 3cm distance Center to center.

    re:

Those etches are a nice job =)
I like the way you're using tubes to tidy up your cables, will use something similar for my fan cables (yep, also inspired by g-gnome - I fell in love with the tube/jackplug combo ;) )

mod on, I can't wait to see the final result! =)

    -==UPDATE==--

Ive finished yet another small part of my mod now. The tubes that contain the powercables for my fans needed to be fastened. I cut a 1,5cm plexi strip and went to work on it.

After some drilling and sanding i covered the edges with some hobby clearcoat and this is what i came up with. Theese will work nice to keep the cables separated and going exactly where i want them.

Heres another picture of the cable separators in action :)

This was just a small update but a big one will come this weekend ive recieved all the components that i need now and will try to finish this project within a week.
