First, very nice job on the project. Also, a suggestion:

The ampmeter that you have looks a lot nicer after you painted it, but the clear plastic cover is in too good shape. Perhaps you could take a screwdriver and scratch it up a lot, and put a nice crack in it. Perhaps smear a little black paint on it as if something rubbed against it. You could maybe even like have a part of it missing?

Looking good, I like the grill on in front of the rad.
Not too sure on the fanbus buttons, they dont stand out enough, might be the pictures though.
Nice work on the Ampmeter, be sure to mess up the buttons on the sides of it too :D

    Excellent work my friend!

I love how realistic this case looks.

I agree slightly with the rheo buttons. Wonder what they would have been like if they were painted first, like red or something and then rusted...

Goddamn! this case looks good! It really looks old on the pictures! If it wasn't for the HL2 theme you could use the name "The Abandoned"! :cooldude: A question: what about those buttons beside the amperemeter? aren't you gonna put some "dirt" on them too?

Keep up the good work! :thumb:

Nice work on the fanbus (and the case in general ;)). I see shiny bit's still. you need to rust them up a bit!

or maybe just grease them up.... you dont want to ruin the smoothness of the actual rheo by rusting it.... but grease would keep that, while giving it a dirty, used type of look....

i agree with the greasing up the fanbus idea
make them look dirty from many people touching them with greasy hands

How does the "rusty" look hold up to regular handling?

I'm assuming it's not real rush, so it won't flake off when touched, but how does it hold up to lugging it around?

How did you age the ampmeter window? It doesn't look like you used the paint technique that Thorn was talking about.

IMO, your technique looks more realistic. Now that gauge fits right in!

I really like what you're doing with the case, but you need uv green coolant running through the thing somewhere on the front/mobo side :thumb:

this project is amazing, keep up the good work.

you said you won't be using the side-panel (the one with the bullet holes), what will you put on the side?
