    I'm just curious -

Many people have mentioned this, but I wondered if anyone has contacted Valve or if Valve has contacted Piloux or anyone at Bit-Tech regarding this case. It seems unlikely that they wouldn't have heard of it yet.

    Any news on this yet?

(And, it goes without saying that you are an amazing artist and that this case and your last one are some of the best works out there in this field.)

Actually, it's probably very likely they haven't heard on this. Besides this site, this case has probably only been shown on a couple of other sites. Also, I imagine it would be hard to get in touch with anyone high up at Valve. Anyways, you would probably be better off contacting Sierra Entertainment. Valve just develops the game, Sierra are the guys promoting it, etc.

pilloux -- the case is turning out very nice. I think maybe using some UV leds would be better than cathodes to get the light spread evenly. I noticed that behind the fan bus the light wasn't distributed evenly, and LEDs might solve that problem. Also, maybe you could look into using custom connectors like ZapWizard used? Since the mobo is showing out the back, it wouldn't matter for most of the devices, but maybe just for the power connector, you could make it look more industrial. I remember seeing a power cord that had that had a round end on it that made it look more industrial for the PC, but I can't find the link. I think it might have been in PC Magazine.

edit: it was something like this, but made specifically just for looks:

The round part looks like some kind of industrial plug you would find on a big industrial machine.

(sorry for my poor descriptions :wallbash:)

    hmmm, industrial you say?

This is the standard wall-plug in scandinavia (and much of Europe I do believe)... Not much of an industrial plug :)

Now, this one here is a lot bigger, made for 3-phase:

He means that the casing for the plug looks "industrial".

yep, in fact it's more an "unsafe" type wallplug because new ones are curved so you can't easily deplug it by drawing the cable rather than the plug itself
(hope u understand my poor english in this sentence :sigh: )

Wow, that is looking great. I wanna come see that in real life now a lot. The mouse looks awesome. Did you do the hl logo on it freehand? Not sure if you told us before or not, but what kind of mouse is it?

That metallic paint looks really cool on the mouse, Piloux! :D Looks a little prickly though, thanks to the metal vase of the paint. You gonna wear a glove while using the keyboard and mouse to stop from cutting yourself? ;)

    thanks a lot guys ;)

can you expain to me this expression please?

this is a similar microsoft wheel mouse , its label is "trekker"...
yes I did the logo freehand because to paint it with masking tape wasn't possible because the surface is not plane... then I took a n°1 paintbrush to do it , I use Tamiya paint for it
