I can never think of a good name when it comes down to it. But hey... I like this one.
    Anyhoo... lets begin

First off, the reason for finally doing this project is my watercooled SN85G4 finally crapped out. I don't know what happened, but hey, wanted to do this for awhile anyways.

    MAKING EXTERNAL LCD CASE
Haven't recieved any of the actual computer parts in the mail yet, so I began mounting the LCD to a hacked up dead cd-rw drive.
I rather like putting my LCD under my monitors, hence no reason for mounting it in the case itself. I didn't get every picture of each step in here, mainly because I forgot.

Here is 2.5 inches of the cover primed and ready for paint.

The feet (rather foot) cut and ready to be clued together to make one solid piece.

    The feet being super-glued together.

The feet after copious amounts of sanding and filing.

The feet after painting the bottom and edges.
This was a base coat of silver-with black on top. Left the side and front edges unpainted for nice LED action.

I plan on having 3 LEDs of different colors mounted in the plexiglass for LCDC to tell me when I have email.

Yes, unfortunatly. And they are a bit more expensive that plain old CD-Rs as well.

But... they are really cool :hip:

Well.. as far as a drawn out plan? No.. do not have that. And ultimatly, this is not going to be one of those hardcore mods you see. Don't have the time, nor (IMHO) the skill for something of that caliber. But, mainly, it's going to be a black and uv red themed case. No intricate modding here. Plan on keeping the clean look of the Lian-Li. I've got to get all the material together, then see exactly what will come of it. Because if I know myself, it will never turn out exactly what I had in my head. Just waiting on UPS after work today.

    PARTS PARTS PARTS
Yesterday, I recieved (most) of my parts. So lets get to those!
    That would be:
    ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
    ATI X1900XT
    2 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800
Sitting on top of a Lian Li PC-7 Plus

    5 feet of Tygon Tubing
Swiftech Apogee (for which I still need the socket AM2 hold-down)
    Swiftech MCW60 with BGA ramsinks
Vortec 600W Sleeved (UV Red) PSU

    2 Samsung 160GB SATA2 HDDs
2 Black Ice GT Stealth 120 XFlow
    2 Red Fan Grills
Vantec Sound Dampeners for PSU and Fans
    Alphacool Laing DDC Acrylic Top
Laing DDC Pump from SN85G4 case
Alphacool Slot Resevior with UV Led

    CONSTRUCTION

First off, I took the massive cooling fan off the X1900XT and mounted the much smaller GPU block and ramsinks
    [IMG]

Next the mounting of the radiators and fans
Front Fan (just fits behind front bezel of case)
    Front Radiator
    [IMG]
    Rear fan and Radiator
    [IMG]
Had to "move" the existing mounting holes about half a hole width up so that I could actually screw into the radiator mounting holes.

Thats about all I had gotten done yesterday. I'll do an update later on tonight after I get work done today.

(Would like to apologize for the horrible pictures, but apparently my house has no good lighting for taking photos... and my camera is... horrible)

    COME TOGETHER
Things are comming together now. Still waiting on my 2 CCFL's and the AM2 hold-down. But I have things to show you all.

    LOGO MAKING
Since the project has a name, it must need a logo.
Of course, that says Black Demon in Chinese. (Demon, Ghost, Spirit, etc.)
Hopefully, it will be painted as such, in red paint. (Getting to that in a little while)

I printed the logo mirrored on a fullsize label sheet.
Then my little chinese helper got the exacto knife out.

    COPPER ROX
I like copper tubing. And the motherboard has those nice little copper heatpipes on it. Aaaand, since I ran out of tygon... I decided to make something that matches.
Here is me, bending some copper tubing to "extend" the radiator.

Polished up. This recieved a clearcoat to keep that shine on it, but it doesnt really look any different.

Well.. it looks as though... the logo idea will not work. Need to find a place to make custom appliques
