This build is just genius so much work going into it +rep
1 is simple nice & elegant
2 is ok but prefer 1 & 3
3 is detailed nice & elegant
I pick 3 but 1 is good also sorry I can't choose well .
But I'll go with 2 because everyone else is & don't want you in a pickle over it & I'm sure you'll make it look good when you go & make it .
Definitely seems to be the favourite

As I wait for materials for the PSU cover I made a new angle barb by using a belt sander with an acrylic cube, which I then polished:
You can see a few marks on it from sanding in the macro photos but there too small to see under normal viewing.

Beautiful work on the barb I like your creativeness and craftsmen ship it almost looks like it was cast not sanded down. I know its a little late but I like design 2 also, it gives the PSU some contrast to the rest of the build but keeps with the theme. Keep up the good work.
WOW! Nice use of a ball end mill too.
I say #2, but the cover on the fan needs to come up. The fan will starve or sound awful with that tiny intake.

I like so much the design number 2 that you've chosen that I thought you can "apply" it to the drive bay covers. With a fascia or two of mesh the drive bay covers will look less bulky...The cables and tubes management is so clean that they (the d-b covers) risk to distract the wiewer (they take almost one quarter of the "stage") Maybe to understate a bit the look of them will not steal the scene of the best stuff and of the thausend of particulars to discover of your gorgeous mod. But I'm nitpicking, if you had been a bit faster you'll have won MOTY 2011 hands down...
Cheers everyone , the intake works pretty good at that size, I couldn't make it any larger as you see in the update. Yeah I think I will change the drive bay covers after seeing how cool the PSU looks
I'm finally back with a big update for you all, first up the second sanded down angle barb:
I then put a compression fitting onto the double angle barb so that I can more easily remove the tube from the rad:
That light patch is from sanding but after the oxide layer full reforms it will look the same as the rest again.
I then used an angle grinder to cut small segments of stainless steel rod:
I then milled out the sections for the PSU cover:
I then adjusted the milling machine head to tilt forward:
I then milled a chamfer into some acrylic:
I then bent the chamfered pieces using the usual heatgun method:
I then glued the two parts together:
And then spray painted the sides blue and the top with glass frosting:
I then JB welded the mesh onto the top and bottom sections:
I then used more JB weld to glue in the center alu strip and black foam:
The center strip is a brush finish by using 240 wet & dry which was then polished in the same direction to give a shiny brushed look:
I then connected a yellow fan into the PSU:
To give this effect:
I then moved onto the fan, in order to create a clear panel for the fan I first made a mould using car body filler and the metal panel that came with the fan:
In order to make it non stick I used the plastic side of double sided sticky tape:
I then glued the two halves together with hot melt glue leaving a gap inbetween the panels:
I then poured clear resin into the mold. While I waited for that to set I spent hours getting the fan mounted into the perfect position while also dampening vibrations with neoprene, as if the fan isn't in the correct position its very noisy and/or isn't very efficient:
And heres the clear panel after it set, I kept the bubbles as a feature:
I then glued it to the panel and attached some LED's:
Here's a preview with the alu cover:
I then soldered some molex connectors onto the pump:
And onto the wires in the case:
And then built the system and filled it with UV acid green coolant:
A view of the whole case will be shown in the final eye candy shots when its all finished.
So much pr0n in this update, Hef would be very proud.
Oh, and that has to be the most beautiful PSU I've ever seen. You definitely chose the right design.

looks like it could do with a gpu support as ur pcb is rather....twisted in the last shot.
that res looks absolutely stunning, you should definatly manufacture a few of these and sell them on!

Your concept for the PSU cover looked no where near as good the real thing looks mate I'm very glad to say glad everyone else recognised it as the one, looks really gorgeous, love it.
