    Hey all,

I'm currently putting the cosmetic touches to a uni project but am really struggling to find a project box for all the electronics/user input console. Has anyone got any suggestions for shops/ebay sellers or other place i could get a nice project box?

I have a few restrictions though:
    30cm Length x 15cm Width x ~15cm Depth (or 12inch x 6inch x 6inch)
Must look good. Presentation is part of the project spec. No poor plastic.
Cheapish. Max ~ £40 although cheap is good/better.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated as i'm all googled out with no great sucess.

Rapid electronics don't appear to have anything large enough. I would suggest finding an engineering friend who will fabricate a box for you out of some nice wood for £20. :D

yes finding project boxes hasn't been too hard, it's just finding one thats big enough!

Manufacturing one has crossed my mind however i don't think its possible to get the finish i want without spending lots of cash. It is also a lot easier to reclaim expenses on bought products so would prefer to go that route

    you could try Maplin (www.maplin.co.uk)

I don't know if they have anything that size though.

managed to find an aluminium case in local maplins (reduced as well) for £6. Is not as deep as i would have liked but for £6 you can't go wrong.

cheers for the suggestions though guys

Have you tried Hammond Manufacturing? I typically use them for hi-fi projects.
