Bloody buggers! That powdercoating looks the bomb! You should have let them powdercoat the PSU housing as well to cover up for that melted front. Good job
*mutters* so that is what my gateway would look like powdercoated..... *goes and looks at his old case again* Looks great dude, keep it up!
Small update today- I gave the PC a new video card, since it was being so good. I went from benching 8000 with the radeon 8500 to benching 19000 with the radeon 9600xt. Quite an improvement I must say. I went crazy with vinyl today- I had some fun with the keyboard and mouse: I did the back of my phone too, but I'm too lazy to take a picture. Anypoop, thats all I've got for now
I recomend doing your wall plates for your outlets and light switches in your office/room. I did my keyboard too: 2 Images

sux about the front, but good that they are going to pay for it... how much did the powder coating cost... wait no, you probably already answered that, so ill just look again.. good luck man
Providence- Not for my brother. In fact, I'm an only child. Brother PC came from the fact that it was my second computer in my bedroom. I used to have two, and my main PC was already modded (custom acrylic case) and I wanted to mod another. But, I sold the other computer and components to finance this project. So if you can think of a better name for it, go ahead. I'm looking for something catchy. Incorpirate- For the mouse I ripped that thing apart, used vinyl and a blowdryer. It took a few tries but I finally got a technique down. Unfortunatley the vinyl is peeling just a tiny bit down by where my palm sits. tm36usa- I dont need a new front, I already bought one. Thank you anyway for the offer! Penguin4x4- Thanks for the info on the waterblocks. The swiftech ones are looking mighty tasty, but I'm not so sure about the tubes. I hate the look of the big fat tubes (even though they cool better), are those big or small tubes it uses? 3N1GM4- $190 for the powdercoating after they deducted the price for screwing up my front panel
Finished! Yes, it has been quite some time since I last posted on this, but the project is finally done. I've definatley got some hardcore beef with the powdercoating guy though. Here's the story: After he screwed up my front panel, I gave him a new one to paint. He ended up screwing up the paint on that too, so he said he'd try again, and 3 months later I finally get a call saying that my front panel is done. AND! The powdercoating is chipping! Ugh, at least its not too visible. Anyway, I've finished the project, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. I suppose you want some pictures, so here ya go: A view from the front- I love how it turned out with the light shining through the front panel. I put a 3" ccfl behind it to give it that glow. As you can see, there is some watercooling action in there. My friend traded me his old watercooling kit for some of my old subwoofers from my truck that havnt been used in almost a year. Definatley easy for me to part with. It's the Thermaltake Aquarius II system, which does a fine job. I'll probably upgrade to something a little nicer someday, but for now, I'm a little short on funds. For the plexi on the case, I decided to tint the window. I put 50% black tint on it, and on top of that, I put some mirror tint, giving it a gunmetal/black chrome look. Definatley looks WAY better in person, photos do no justice. Sorry for everything taking so long, but I swear it wasnt my fault! Tell me what you think!
Not for my brother. If you read earlier posts you would see that it originally was going to be my second computer. Hence, "brother". But thanks for the feedback guys!
