hey guys, got this posted over in XS and Overclock.net and just thought I'd share it and get some more opinions! If you have CONSTRUCTIVE critisicims please tell me! I can take it! on with the mod: This is my first ever build and therefore first attempt at Modding, so advice would be greatly appreciated! The components are as follows; Q9550 (E0), 4870×2, Asus P5Q-E, 4Gb Of GEIL, A Blu ray drive, 680w BFG PSU and 1Tb Of storage. Oh, and an X-Fi Elite. Why Project Brusier you ask? Simple. The colour scheme will be black and blue, a Black Silverstone Temjin TJ07 With Window and blue watercooling liquid with blue fans, although I may replace these. I Intend to mount two Radiators, there is one loop right now with a 4870×2 waterblock and a CPU waterblock, the second loop will have NB + MOSFET blocks and maybe more later on. I Will Keep this blog as up-to-date as possible and as filled with awesomeness as possible! The Mods I have done so far are New Custom window with smoked acrylic Lian-Li Bezel Mod Replaced all stock fans Custom Hard Drive caddy Watercooling (DUH ) Still to come are hopefully: Powdercoated internals (should have done it first really...but oh well) triple rad roof mod custom TJ07 'Floor' (i.e cut holes in it) Custom Faceplate. Dual Loop MurderMod Sleeving so far, it looks like this: please give me any and all comments! : MOD IDEAS: here is how it looked at stock (PLEASE LAUGH!) Questions? Comments? Pictures? ASK!
I don't think it'll be too much of a problem but having CPU + GPU in one loop normally isn't too great an idea. See here and the next page for example. Other than that, looking good so far. I like the little backlit logo on the front, just about what I'd love on my case. Small, not in-your-face yet classy.
hmm thanks, so do you think I should have the CPU, NB & Mosfet in one loop and the GPU in another? oh and BTW thats a photoshopped logo thanks Nick
Welcome to BT. I like it. Glad you mentioned that the logo was photoshopped, I was gonna ask how you cut it! I like the false floor idea.
I like it looks good. as for advice don't have much other then what has been mentioned in having two loops.
I knew it was photoshopped as you said this was still to come. And I might not be the right person to answer the question about the watercooling. There are people on BT who just know way more about that but I'd say, if you go for two loops anyways, split CPU and GPU up on those two.
heheh this is gonna be good-just got me a dremel and some of these: this is going to be either a total dremel F-Up or a seriously mint PC!
I saw this on XS yesterday. I loove the colour of the XSPC toob. Go you user CP for a signature, but no images are allowed on these 'ere forums.
thanks man, how'd you get sponsorship from Specialtech? I'm always using them...waiting on them now as it happens!
Looks good! Way better than the stock, and it's very clean and it got a nice finish too. I like it! And thank you very much! I have always wanted to see a good picture of a watercooled rig with uv blue water, but never found any. Your pics made up my mind thought, I'm going to use uv blue water on my rig too!
didnt use any its just feser one UV blue! with blue UV tubing just buy 2 bottles, that is plenty for anything you can build tbh + spare for coolant change
