You can fix the bar to the HDD cooler with some soldering iron ;)

True, except it will never be seen. The only parts of the cooler that will be seen are the end pipes and the end cross sections of the al bars... DVD burner above, Al plate below. No worries.

Actually it was already evaporated, did so just as I broke it. I heard the gas escaping... Doesnt matter though! Suggestions on the rest of the mod? Ideas?

And btw, is it worth creating a discussion thread for the project? I see some ppl have em.

    Misc Sleeving

So while I was working at the PSU sleeving, I did these few bits and pieces as well, just to tidy them up.

Front LED headers and USB ribbon cables were ugly, so they got covered up and routed under the mobo tray...

Sleeved all of the cables from the Akasa all in one... One is the power lead for the fan controller, one is the actual fan leads, and the other two are USB and memory card leads for the motherboard...

The Wires for my UV cold cathodes glowed blue under the UV light :duh: Didnt see that 1 coming lol. Sleeved them and put them as out of sight as possible...

The LCD module on the allinone glows with a blue backlight, so that was no good. I found out that it has a minimum rpm alarm. You set a min rpm and if the rpm of a fan gets below that, it sounds an alarm and changes the LCD to red. What did I do? Set the minimum rpm to like 50rpm and watch the LCD change... Sorted! :D The pic makes it look a little orangey, but thats just the flash diluting the colour, its pure blood red I promise!

Unfortunately, the unit also sounds a 30 second alarm if this happens... Fixed that as well, by desoldering the piezo speaker :p

Why didnt you just switch the blue and red leds...
that way its red normally, and blue in an emergency :)

As for the heatpipe, if it were of any concern, you could just shove it back in the hole, and no one would know the difference but you.. and us o_O

Tried that, theyre not normal 5mm LED's, theyre surface (PCB) mounted backlight lamps... verry small and very easy to blow up... Its fine the way it is tbh.

If you wanted to send it to someone they could simply switch leds just switch the position. so red goes where blue is and vice-a-versu.

You mean the sqaure SMD type leds. THey have silver colored strips on either long end and attach to the board there? Heres a link to what I think you are talking about. I would be willing to do it but then again i live god knows how many miles from you. Southern California US. Ok I didn't find the link. But is that right?

Yes you can sand of the anodisation, I saw that on the coolermeisters case. He sanded of the anodisation on a CM Wawemaster then he polished the aluminium ;)
