I am also putting in a SATA drive instead of notebook. If it all fits, the systems specs should really live up to Corvette's name!

I had a tvr shell that I have knocking around, along with a shuttle mobo template from something else (dont ask lol) . The tvr is very similiar in shape to the c6 so it was the best one to use I thought.

Here's the pics of the shuttle mobo template in place inside the shell:

the shell to give you an idea how it looks compared to the c6

And a quick shot with some wheels to show you their scale

The wheels are 2.5cm thick so there's only about 140mm space between the two wheels.

I hope all that has helped you out :)

The shells are dirt cheap so its not the end of the world if its too small, I've got 8 here at the moment lol.

You have been a great help! Thanks! I would be fine in the front, since I only need 5 1/2 for the DVD burner, and I think it wouldnt look bad with the wheels sticking out a bit. If I let the wheels hang out 1/2 an inch on each side I think I might be all right. Otherwise I will cut an inside strip of the wheel out, slide the motheboard in it, then attach it.

Good work ArmyAnt, I'm keeping an eye on this thread! :dremel:

*edit* Go for the black rims, should look excellent on the silver body.
