Comments here please! Having started on the steps of my first watercooled rig, I thought I might aswell make a log. So here you all are! The main theme is going to be White lighting, but with (and as the title suggests) a Touch of red. My Gainward card helps here hehe. Specs are: Gigabyte K8NXP-9 Motherboard AMD64 Venice 3000+ Gainward 6600GT Golden Sample 512mb Crucial Ballistix 80Gb Seagate Hard Disk Samsung CDrw/DVD combo Black Floppy drive ...and maybe a pioneer slot loader. Watercooling Specs: PolarFLO CPU Block PolarFLO VGA Block Bay Res 1xCSP-MAG pump Thermochill HE.120 So far, I've stripped the case, drilled out some rivets that were holding a second hard disk bay, and installed the rad. Anyway, Pics are better than words! Out with the old, In with the new... And again Before... After... Close up of rad Overall look (you can just about see the res) Thats all for now, tmoz, install begins!
And the pics... Pump installed PSU awaiting components Mid install more... adding the water VGA shot Pump/Rad CPU shot Another running pic Running windows at 23c Idle (according to bios!)
I'm thinking of changing the colour scheme now, instead of subtle reds on white, i'm thinking subtle blues on white, since, my case already is filled with blue :/ Thoughts?
wouldnt really go with the name tho... you oculd change it to "Cloud Connected" though i love that csong
Aye yeah... Good idea... that song rocks [/OT] Just got a soilwork cd, and omg, how good! you like?[/OT]
Mmmmhh "Touch of red" and "Cloud connected" now. Do you know In Flames My favorite is "Worlds Within The Margin" from Whoracle
Aye, In Flames rock! Not heard that album yet, only got Colony, Soundtrack To Your Escape, and reroute to remain. I love Colony too, a casemod on that would rock! *hint for someone*
Some night pics, to the pain of my camera Thanks M_D_K for the Grill, its very nice! ^^ My fave ^^ The lighting should change soon, need to wait ages... stupid lack of money.
Just done some nightshots, and added one of M_D_Ks grills, I think it look really good against an Alu fan. What does everyone think?
Indeedddddd I do, highly impressive flow too, considering its going through 2 Blocks and a res. You might have noticed mines mounted on its front, this is so I can run the Inlet+outlet much more directly, as you can see! Got temps now, according to speedfan its running at a lovely 25c, jumps to about 29c off load. Pure pwn4g£.
Right, gonna post this here otherwise i'll put it off again! I'm finishing the window for the case tomorrow. Unless it rains
Thing is, i'm adding another rad soon, imagine it then Can't wait! Will probably need another Mag aswell if I do that, can anyone confirm?
Right. MAG is going, DDC is replacing it, and i'm getting a new rad to ADD to the loop I haven't done anything on the case, because atm i'm phoning around to perhaps get the whole thing nickel plated, OR powdercoated. Very hard decision! What do you think?
Looks quite nice! Polarflo I don't know too much about, but it sure look pretty. Have you thought of the DDC with the plexi-top?
After seeing yours, (it was powdercoated right?) I'm very tempted Ooh, new visitor Yes, If i do get the DDC, i'm getting the Plexi top, two reasons. Top inlet (so much easier) and 5mm LED hole!! EDIT - And yeah, these PolarFLO blocks are so nice to look at, weigh a fair bit too
