    Very nice!

Some clever features in that - my money is on very good performance.

I especially like his attention to the turbulent areas of the bends.

Stinger earned his coin with that one... beauty.

    I concur..
My Eheim 1046 pump may impede max-performance.. The design (IMHO) requires high-flow (big-bore) to really kick-ass..
I will end up with a very cool looking block, with "good" temperatures...
    I can live with that..:thumb:

wow, he definatly spent some time thinking about fluid dynamics with that block, however it would be a b**ch to clean!

has the copper been treated with anything to stop it tarnishing?

Actually, some scientists has noticed that soundwaves improves watercooling :) Google it.

That Foxxconn Renaissance board you posted up is an excellent X58 board. While it may not be the cream of the crop overclocker, it is by far the best "bang for your buck" performance X58 board you can pickup. It also has 4 x PCIe-2.0 16x slots, which is very rare to find and makes it an excellent choice for multi-GPU setups. Foxxconn has worked hard to make their products more reliable and stable in the long-run, especially their BIOS -- and their willingness to work with the community (Re: Linux), plus their public admittance to mistakes they've made (and their pledge to fix them) only plays more in their favor.

It'd be a tough call, the Asus P6T, MSI Eclipse and Gigabyte X58's all break the $350.00 mark whereas this Foxxconn sits at $270.

... on a different topic: Great looking mod so far. Especially impressed with that waterblock, very sleek and sexy.

    Thanks for the information Jasio
Still no "formal" reviews on the Renaissance.. It's just too-new..
I am going to order one this weekend. I need it to move forward (get the PSU in and mod the motherboard tray to hide as many wires as humanly possible).. I have a few ideas for the board as well.. I spoke with Fred and he will make a set of copper 1366 mounts for my Stinger .. He is working on a few other blocks at this point in time, so I may have to wait awhile.
I should have some time on Friday to play with this project.. Update soon (hope)..
@ burn21 : no, the block is untreated copper.. Being cautious about finger-prints when playing with it..

By the looks of the mill, a hf x2, i believe its a r8. Looks like either a face mill
    http://www.grizzly.com/products/4-Face-Mill-Cutter/H8323
    or a fly cutter
    http://www.grizzly.com/products/Fly-Cutter/G2861
    (incredible price)

but good luck getting one of those in your drill press. Not as good but here i got this finish with a 1/4" roughing endmill

MS, I feel ya on frozen pizzas. For me it's cheap mozzarella sticks this morning. We do what we must to get by.

I have faith in ya we'll see FIN on this one. Been too long since we have...

Hey, did AC make 3/8" barbs for their blocks? I have a pair of TwinPlex XTs here that need barbs and I don't wanna add stupid transfer adaptors and then cover up all the blue plexi on them...

Yes, they made 3/8" G1/8 barbs. Sharka used to sell them.

While the cooler may look goofy, from what I've hear/read on various other forums from those who claim to own this motherboard -- it is quite easy to remove the stock cooling and mount a waterblock for the Northbridge. It's a fairly simple laid out board, but I mean at $270 its a fantastic offer. I'm currently mulling over whether to pick one up before Christmas for myself as well. Plus it has a nice color scheme :)

Interesting board there, especially with the glow in UV on the orange. Two things:

    1. Is the analogue soundcard on a pci-e riser?
    2. Look at the bottom of the board, it will NOT fit in a TIGHT case, due to it being 1/4" longer.

    BlackFlag is 100% correct
Aqua-Computer blocks are threaded for G1/8" and they do have 10mm barbs.. BUt, I attempt to convert anyone will listen to compression fittings.. Don't use barbs and hose clamps for H20-cooling.. That was "defacto-standard" five years ago.. Compression fittings look better (IMHO) and are all but leak-proof.. Times change and we need to change with them..:thumb:

No arguments on compressions, but these 8/10 compressions don't fit 3/8" tubing, and I don't know of 3/8" G1/8 compressions, do you?

thats my problem, 10/8 comp fittings are ment for thin walled tubing, and recently most water cooling shops here in the UK have stopped stocking such tube, yeah there is still the cheap ass PVC stuff, but the bend radius is crap.

Basically i've got a A5 parcel box 2in deep full of comp fittings i cant use, G1/8 and G1/4, including ball valves and elbow fittings, best part of £100 in fittings.

Would love to get my system on water, but cant as i need new blocks and ideally a new lian li, V1000 is a little small!
