Wow, nice work! Where did you get your experience? Do you work with metal casting? It doesn't seem like a very simple hobby! ...or cheap!
its not I have done some aluminum casting. Melting the metal is simple. Making the molds is the hard part. For the most part I've used sand casting and once even carved the sand into the item I was making. Fun but not for everyone.
I had to use this keyboard instead of the previous one because of some technical causers. I use the metal buttons as I make them.
Looking good Should look AWESOME once the actual board is done. Does the extra weight make the keys feel different?
OOOooooo, prettieeeeee. Hmmm, I'm trying to envision casting the entire keyboard. That should be interesting...
damnnn thats going to be some pimp hardware, but one questions, what about finger prints messing up the chrome finish every time you use the thing?
Exactly what i was thinking. Filimon, any ideas? Oh, this looks absolutely amazing! I wish I had the skills and tools to do this.
It would be cool to use some cable armour for the cable as well asuming you make the whole case metal to, which im sure you will do. talk about tamper proof keyboard.
I'm curious what equipment you use to form and cast the keys, but also what kind of foundry rig you are using to melt SS.
Holy cr@p. That'll be the most amazing keyboard I've ever seen. Filimon, do you plan on painting the letters on those keys? It'll be difficult to distinguish them otherwise...
aha, that looks amazing. i like the idea, but im not sure i like what you put on the space bar. otherwise, great job!
I have to say Filimon, you work amazingly fast. You must devote a lot of time and effort to your mods. The quality throughout is beautiful. Thanks for showing us your mod.
