I second exactly what Cheapskate said from a design standpoint. How about having the O stand out by giving it the same narrow treatment the other letters receive, and disconnecting it from the pack a la the below?

The narrowing seems to be a good idea, I'll test that when I can access my drawing again (which would be tomorrow). I don't really like it disconnected, but it may be nice to connect the first half of the O to the E, and the second half to the N. I will also try to modify the C and the N to fit the O with 8 corners.

A few days later, and I almost fell off the first page :hehe: I read all of the replies and gave them some thought, thanks to everyone who helped me to adjust the logo :)

The right page of my drawing block was already full, the one on the left was filled in the last few days. As you can see, the B was the most difficult one ;)

To make it easier to compare, the old logo, once more:

Some people liked the hexagon O, some liked the octagon. I found it hard to choose, so I chose to modify the C and the N and make them match the octagon O. That turned out really good. After the C, the U was moved a little to the left, to make the C look smaller. The B was cut loose from the E to make it look less like an R. The E's middle feet were extended to make em look less like an F. The O got the RaptorLord treatment, and got cut loose and narrowed :) As you can see, the N looks kind of standard, but the thingie next to it better ;)

I must say I'm a lot happier with the second version, so thanks to everyone who replied and took the time to look at the logo

Damn, you're right :eyebrow: I have to fix that, and make it part of the N again.

    And thank you blu :)

Blow off the backwards 'C' at the end and #2 is a go!

I think that should stay there. It's like the name is framed in a sorta () brackets way. Looks good.

I had to change it once more, because I don't want it to look like Cubeleond :worried:

I agree with John, #2 logo w/o the "D"-part. The #3 logo is not so much "Cubeleond" as before.. but still a bit.... how about making the "D"-part of the N a little less pronounced... I mean, it's not a completely symmetrical logo anyway, so you might get away with it. I dunno *shrugs*

    Update 15

Last time it was all about designing, this time I've done some real world stuff :p De left side was almost done a few updates ago, so we're moving to the right side. That one was already looking like this:

The top hole already had a angle bar construction fitted, for the lower one I finally got one this far. It was really hard to file away all of the excess steel caused by the welding, and filling all of the holes that were burned into the steel:

The lower hole will be a simple window, the top one is more interesting :) The radiator will be inside the case, a custom hand made grill will be on the outside:

From the back, it looks like this:

The make the grill fit to the case, I had to modify some of the alu sheets. This pic showes the cut corners:

After that was done, it fit the angle bar and it looks great already :)

Just another pic, found this one to be a little arty :hehe:

The back again, and a closeup:

To be able to mount the aluminium cover plate, it had to be adjusted a little. The dome nuts will be visible, and as I planned, the top of the nuts is flush with the top of the cover plate ;)

Time to remove the tape off all of those sheets. First step was to get them off the threaded bar:

One done, 22 to go :p

A little while and a lot of acetone later:

How do you like my plexi radgrill :D

When looked at it from this angle, the reflection looks a little different:

Although I didn't give the alu any treatment, it really shines :)

The housing for this is already painted black, and I will post it as soon as possible. Untill then, you have my permission to reply :hehe:

Yeah it did take forever, especially cutting and filing 48 spacers :eyebrow:

Of course I don't mind, feel free to use any of my designs in your own case, as long as you don't say it's your design ;)

And thanks to everyone for the positive replies :)
