I think it looks awesome with the red. Contrary to what you said, I think the 2 layers of material makes it look better. Black mesh behind it as mentioned is a good idea.
lol im begining to get swayed might go 2 piece with the top powdercoated red and the bottom black then some mesh behind also ordered my psu today so ill need to buy more braid for that
PCing it will be $ but could look nice or you could just spray it and it could look better house of kolor enjoy the endless choices
nah ill just get tom at chilled pc to do it he powdercoated my case for a good price so i dont think this will be to bad
small update got the cad drawings for the fan grill design done and did a quick cut out on plain paper to check the size etc photos dont do it any justice though. anyway the idea is 2mm alu on the bottom and 3mm red tint plexi for the top then some black mesh behind the lot sorry about the lack of updates but ive been proper busy recently :crying:
Whoever did that drawing rocks! That is going to look really nice when you get the real deal on there.
I used a combination of AutoCAD and Inventor. Being a student, I have them available at home along with some others. How well does it fit?
ah i used auto desk inventor a school and autocad at college. and the holes line up perfectly and the cross is just the right size in relation to the case spot on
Got my Rampage II Gene in today Also sleeved the psu but i think im going to drop the braided tubing the plain black tube looks better IMO. Still got alot of cable management to do Also got a XFX GTX 260 Black edition on its way anyway heres a few pics
Is that a Dark Power Pro in there? If it is, what type of power connector is on there? I have one and it has a square connector instead of the usual kettle plug. Does yours have one of these? I only ask because the extension wouldn't fit with my unit and I want to know if I'd have to make my own extension cable if I bought one. Looking good so far man!
thought id post up a few pics since ive done so more work to this: made a start on the cable managment but its still going to be a nightmare in this case. Fangrill got all this to tidy im going to have a hard time putting the sidepanel on. all i need to do is sort out a cpu and it will be running on air. then i just need to buy a gpu and NB block and a few more rotary fittings
