eek... hmm well I dont know, the cable looks to fat now with the sleeving on it.. maybe you should cut off the round tubing, then use a thinner sleeve
Looks like most people like setup 5. Im gonna try to fit the IDE and molex connectors on the hd without touching that top fan. Although I might try something different...
Maybe if you drill new mounting holes in the hd-rack. Then you could move the drive further back from the fan, giving you more space.
COol case dude!!! Keep up the great work !! I have a question.. How did u sleeve those? How did the sleeve pass ?
that is looking really sweet!! I think i may have to get a case like that someday. Maybe this summer when i have time to start modding again. Great job on keeping to your theme too. Setup 3 and 5 both look great.
It was a little tricky but its helluva lot easier than sleeving an atx plug! All I did was pullt he plastic triangle piece back and bent the black connector horizontally. This made a sort of linear pass for the sleeving to go right over. I might redo it though and remove that plastic tubing and the plastic triangle boot thing that originally came with the cable and just sleeve the wires bare. It will be skinnier and easier to bend. If you like, I can take a picture of the process.
UPDATE I went ahead and removed all of the junky plastic and the plastic boots off of the IDE cables. I wanted them to match all the cables I have going now so... The bare IDE cable. So secksy! To get the sleeving on, simply bend it at the connector like this: Then start feeding the sleeving on. Try to get the sleeving open as much as possible to clear the black connector but be careful not to let it fray and loosen on the ends. Then from there its just a matter of pushing the sleeving, grabbing it with the other hand and lettig it follow through over the cable. Very easy. The new IDE cables with no plastic tube or plastic boot. In person they look much slimmer. Finally got the 120mm led fan for the PSU. Switched out the boring white plastic ATX connector for a blue uv one! This ATX tool is a life-saver!!! I tried it with several pokey things which didnt work at all. Im trying different setups with the ATX plug. I like this one the best: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thats it for now.
Just bought the same PSU connectors/sleeving kit as you Braiding is much stiffer than I imagined! Meh, it was only £3.50 though so I'm happy, I just need to work out how the damn tools work <A88>
I havent been doing much work lately. Im going back to school in March so Ive been getting ready for that and a bunch of other personal stuff. I have an order coming in on the 2nd which should bring me to about 90% done with the custom led footstep mod my final task.
