Wayyyyy to go!!! So much to do and so little time, I know all 'bout that! Awesome moulding/filler-job! Subscribed!
(Oh, by the way, you made it to the LAN, didn't you? I hope you did, but if you didn't - I still want to see your project FINISHED!!! :D )

    Mods like these...

It's mods like this that make the rest of us think to ourselves, "If I try I bet I could do some thing like this!" You make it look so easy! Of course it only takes once trying to find it isn't as easy as you make it look, but true inspiration can not be squashed!

    Excellent job sir! Excellent job!

hay all the lan starts in 2 hours he isnt going to make the start of it but i think hell make the comp. (the comp is on the second day) ill find out for him when i get there. The version he takes to the lan wont be the final version due to time constraints but it still looks sweet.

I loved the remote control! LOL - sounded like an airplane taking off... How well does the cooling system perform though?

    LOL!!! Temps under load

    Without motors going 45
    Motors on minimum 39
    Motors on 50% (roughly) 34

Then I went and got my ear protection lol

Motors 100% 33 ... only did it for about 30 seconds or so as it was WAY to loud!

Thanks for the comments guys, 2nd aint actually that great considering there was only 6 people entered in the competition. I was a bit dissapointed at the result to be honest.

Will post some pics soon, sorry I didn't get round to it last night, the power went out at home.

I can confirm it is indeed freeking loud! If I get round to finishing it properly the brushless motors will be replaced by standard 200-250mm case fans. Only reason I went with the brusless motors and propellers was because it is normally "different" ideas that win at the LAN I went to. Still got beatn by a metal and duct tape turtle though :duh:

lol yea the remote wasnt part of the original plan. I was going to use a servo tester and have a knob on the front to controll speed. Sadly the shop I got the motors from didn't have any in stock and last minute attempts to make one failed :( The remote ended up being pretty flash though :p

I will try reply to all comments and questions that I have missed over the next couple of days.

OK people.. these are the pics of it complete.

Well kind of complete. This is what it looked like when I took it to the LAN. It is not what I wanted it to end up like, I just ran out of time to get it exactly how I wanted it. I am a little dissapointed at the result from the LAN, mainly due to what beat me for 1st place ( will post pics when some of it get posted) and have lost motovation to complete this. Will see what happens. For now though, some pics.

My question is this: You said the theme for the mod competition was extreme air....so what the F does the turtle have that pushes more air than your helicopter fans?
