I hope you dont mind me borrowing this idea for my next mod
UPDATE I SAY
the people demand it....LOL
Kepp up the good work
Yes, everything is going good, Project still alive......I have send in the chassis to the Powder Coaters, and am awaiting it's return in a week or so.....so, watch out for a big update.
I am still receiving mobo/cpu/mem etc piece by piece, but hopefully will have everything by the time the chassis gets back
Anyone that wants to use some of the ideas, guys, you are most welcome That is why we come up with them.....
As long as you provide linkies to your own work, so we can be inspired and admire it Phoeneous.....
Well this is my current mod:
Ill be using that custom drive cage for my next project.
Project: Phoeneous Effect - The Second Modding.
Doesnt the title just give you chills?
Hehe....a Good title, I think
I will visit your Project tonight, I am a work, behind a firewall, and cannot view any pics on Bit-tech
Great job Mr. B! I was seriously thinking about a "Stacker" a couple of weeks ago when I could no longer fit my Evo 360 inside my V1000. I decided to go with plan b, which was to build an external plexi mount to sit on top. Had I seen your project I think I may have made a different decision. The aluminum and plexi piece you cut and placed up top takes this case to another level. The drive cage...well, I can't quite come up with an adjective that describes how nice I think that is at the moment.
“Mod on baby!!!”
When I got home tonight, the Courier has returned my case back from the Powdercoating guys, so Saturday I will post some nice pictures. I am out of town for the next 2 days, so I can only do some work on Saturday. I will keep you posted.
It is black....very black......but somehow the color suits this behemoth of a Stacker Came out very nice.
Check back Saturday evening, there will be a very nice update - I promise
Bean, when are you going to update your vapo mod?
where is the promised update? shame on you mr bean, for letting your life interfere with your modding
That was well said, I must use it somewhere.
guy1: Oh sheit, I have completly forgotten my blowhole cause of my girlfriend.
me: Oh you idiot, as the madcow said you should never let life interfere with your modding.
(guy1: Whatta heck?!)
those are some d*** beautiful hard drive water blocks
maybe he meant this next saturday?
I have to apologize to all enthusiasts for the delays, time was a bit scarce the last 3 weeks, we are midst a huge Papermachine startup, and I am a DCS/System Specialist.....blegh.....so much to do, so little time to do it in.
I returned home yesterday after 2 weeks away, so now I can continue. Before Sunday eve I will have a few pics up of the case in it's new livery, nice black powdercoating internals
My plans for mobo etc has also changed, I ordered 2X 6800U Sli cards, 1 week away, 1 FX55, few days away, and 600W Enermax Coolergiant PSU...will arrive with the eVGA Ultras.
Mobo is a DFI SLI-R, should have it by monday, so I can start on the internal components.....that is what basically kept me from fitting drive cage etc.
But, Sunday night, a Promise
Tasty What blocks are you going to use on them 6800u's?
Well, kinda late, ain't I ?
But after having read both of your project-logs I have to admit : You friggin' rock.
Awesome cutting, very nice ideas... not to childish... nearly perfect...
I already have 2 Innovatek Cool-Matic's, that were on my 2X 6800U AGP cards......I since sold those 2 cards to get funds for my 6800SLI setup, and kept the waterblocks.
They are the ones without the LED sandwich plate, but they look good, and cool GPU, mem and voltage regulators on the GFX card. The blocks are lower in profile than the stock aircoolers, so I cannot think that I would have installation problems on the SLI board....
Thanx for the feedback, aon`aTv.gsus666. I try not to overdo the lighting effects, just luv the more simplistiv mods. Aint nothing special anyways, but there are People that seems to like the more ...err....understated setups
Keep you posted!
Mr. B, have you given much thought to what you are going to use to cool the northbridge? The DFI board is definitely a nice choice, however, it looks as though the northbridge may not accept a water block without blocking the video card.
The Innovatek block looks as though it may work.
Yes, that is something all nForce3/4 owners struggle with, dunno why mobo manufacturers would place the chip in that position.....but, thanx for the advice, I will check out the Innovatek block.....or roll my own.....just like in the old days
hey mr.bean, just seeing your work for the first time and i must say it is great!. A word of advice - if u havnt noticed this yet but when u get things powder coated everything thing gets smaller........what i mean is all your holes and everything are now filled with powder coating which makes them smaller diameter. simple drill cleaning of the holes will do the job. my 2 cents.
