Todays actions: -bougth a steal-saw for my jigsaw: €3,40 -bougth a nice 1 meter long aluminium strip: €2,79 Total costs for this project sofar: €6,19 The seduction of GTA3 was so big... I just couldnt get any work done
Well, buy a couple of USB extension cables. Plug them into the back of the mother board (Provided you have enough clearance between the back i/o and the case.) then cut small holes in the front for the socket end of the extension cables. Then you have a cople of neet usb ports on the front, without the mobo's i/o sticking out, or using any headers. Sorry if this is a bit long winded.
You guys dont get it. There is no space to put the connectors on another place. There is 1 option, and that would mean I would have the PSU at the viewable side. Now that would suck.
The glory of SFF Todays actions: -made holes for the motherboard stand-off -made holes for psu (not for the fan and connector jet) -made holes for HDD -made some nice striping on the front (which is just a lame excuse for a miscalculation ) But at the moment, drilling a hole takes 10 minutes or more because my drill seems to be f'ded up. Need to buy a new one(s) Almost done Deadline is 20th of august aka tommorow, I think I'll make the deadline
Them they shipped one with holes in it Todays actions: -bougth some nice aluminium sheet: €3,99 -bougth some nice metal drills: €0 (my dad will pay them) -made a nice front with a strip of aluminium Still have to do today: -PSU connector and fan hole -HDD caging -Power button placement Total costs for this project sofar: €10,18
Small teaser Todays actions: -finished the front except for the ethernet and powerbutton holes -finished the hdd bracket Still have to do (on wednesday that is): -PSU connector and fan hole -Power button placement
I'm sorry for letting you down guys. I'm doing it now, and I did it on the previous project. I just got my HDD but I am completly frustred how to fix a hole for the ethernet port. Damn me. Please make fun of me
