hi, with all the mod gods around... not sure whether this is worthy of a project log.. the initial case the dimensions for this case: 14" x 16" x 3" thinking of building an athlon xp system into it.. so that i can lug it around whenever. i'm posting here to get some inspiration to actually finish a mod, coz i'll end up losing steam in the middle... so hope can get some support.
It is only a wafer thin pc.... Dude, You might need to craft in som bumps in the top to fit the fan/heatsink... that or use one of those 800,000 RPM micro fans and wafer thin hs! Ha!
thanks!! anyway i just started working on this mod today.. pic of casing with innards exposed... inset is the mobo spacers... not incompatible with current standard so they had to go..
weapons of choice black & decker RTX-1 with flexi-shaft... eye protection from ace hardware respirator to prevent metal dust getting into lungs.. proceed to cutting with fibre reinforced disc. cutting complete.. proceed to filing and sanding
try to post more than 1 pic per post... helps keep the thread clean looking. But those are some nice toolies... is it gonna be liquid cooled?
Heh, I hava a PC that size, so cramped that there is no space for modding...it had to use a laptop CD-ROM drive, and had the PSU plugging directly into the motherboard. I don't know what you can do with that, except for putting a Micro-ITX board in there, with some cahodes, fans, window, custom paint jobbie etc. If you can get a watercooling kit in there, then j00 15 |>4 |\/|4|\|!!!!11 (NOT gonna happen!). A nice glossy black paint job, some blue/green lighting, and you got yourself a tidy little mp3 box. Go to it!

why is that dude... @Wicked Li'l Bender oops sorry... making changes to my posts right away and its gonna run 1700+ only so heat should not be an issue, so i think water cooling it would be overkill hehe -Xp- there's definitely gonna be a cdrom in there... and hopefully agp as well, somehow.. one things for sure... i have a plan to mount so many fans that it will actually levitate off the ground haha
hey man looks nice... this is a bit slimmer than my slim custom case.... mine is about 3.4 inches tall hehe cant wait to see how it turns out!!
time for a little update, just a little one, process of cutting a tribal dragon window into the top of the casing, its around 10pm here, gonna stop now b4 the neighbours start yelling at me.
Window done! halfway done... here it is fresh from the chopping board: the edges look sharp, deburring up next after deburring the edges another shot: any comments are most welcome
