So.. Lets present my first case project so far. I won't tell all my features, dosn't matter how important and valuable they are. Just look a the pictures, comment and wait for an update I hope you'll like it!! For now, i've worked about a month at it: design, buying dremel & material for modding etc. Now I wait for delivering of 2 important things for my mod, as soon as I get it, there will be another update!! ) The case to mod is Chieftec Mesh, I've bought it specially for this purpose. You can look at some pics & overview here: http://www.silenthardware.de/reviews/case/chieftec_mesh_serie_bigtower_ca_01sl_sl_b/ Now, here we are: Dremel rulez, sure.. But... Not with cutting out a window in 1mm steel... The quality of the case have an effect With a simple Jig saw, its muuuch easier And this terrible lock... Should be modded as well I think Looks it like.... something strange Aeroplast... I thought i will be better as it really is... What a pity..
and the handle sprayed with a filler Window holds by bolts, we come to it later. Here I plan to place the 120-mm coolers, after modding them. The front here.... seems terrible too... Trying to correct this "bug" I think it becomes better look... Now I wait for the filler, this blue thing isn't good so good to paint But its hard enough, I know it doesn't looks so, but it is! It was the best material I found in stores to make the front. Dont know what it is in english. Ok its all for now, as soon as I get the filler, I'll show the progress Will be glad to see your comments. Questions are welcome Sorry 4 my english )))
the stuff you used for the front is called styrofoam (i think that is how you spell it) i used it in my tech classes to make models, carefull though if your going to leave it like that though it marks easily and will melt with certain paints and adhesives, oh it also melts quite easily, i used it to make a jig for vaccum forming once, didn't last too long. good luck with the mod.
Great mod keep up the great work and the quality and the origianal MESH case is a great starting point, a great case to mod...
wow looks pretty good, keep up the good work man (dont forget to files the edges of your case ) Gonna be interesting to watch this develop
