hey tech daddy! I love the mod but, I was wondering what type of bondo did you use? Because there are so many types, I don't know which one I should use?

Have you tried Evercoat Fiberglass Reinforced Filler? Use the short strand. It applies smoother, cures faster!, and it's stronger than Bondo.
Only compromise is you'll need a power sander, Mouse sanders work great. Sanding by hand is a pain, but it won't crack like Bondo :miffed: I've never bothered with Bondo (mud) again.

Working with Evercoat Fiberglass filler here

I have never used that before. This was my first exposure to fiber glass... and I think I want to find a better way of creating custom bodywork. I will *definately* give this stuff a shot on my next rig. I think, laying over my foam fork, the long strand was necessary to flatten out the porus nature of the foam surface that I built on. I can only imagine how much of the short strand material I would have consumed filling in all of those bubble holes.

    *cringe*

Headed out to the website to read up some more on the product, easily available? or do you order it online?

    Thanks for the advice!

here's another question, when your working withbondo, what type of paint do you use, if bondo has been appiled to the plexi glass?

You primer it, just as you would any other paintable surface. Use any paint you would like after that.

can i ask why its got two 6800s in it and not the more recent 7800 or even 7900 GPUS?

very nicely done though, that paint work is awsome, you got some skill daddy

You reminded me of this, I've been meaning to find a "foam core" thats ideal for modeling stuff like your scoop. Sculpt your shape, sand it, then apply filler.

You can try your local auto parts store, but it's more likely stocked at local AutoBody Supply Store. Check yr local Yellow Pages :thumb:

btw: These vented plates would make sick side panel vents.

    Hello my bro TD!!

U know that I love this project, right? it's a very elegant rig, with perfect choice of items, colors, lighting.... everything!

I love the theme. I'm a big fan of Mustang and muscle cars, you did a superb job and got the real spirit of this car!

The painting is very nice! it's one of my passions too, I really love painting and I think that you did the right decision to dive into this world completely :thumb: - you know that I'm talking :D

    Congrats my friend!

    See ya,
    Mr. Kholl.

The 6800's were dontated to the cause by none other than NVidia! :thumb:
As such, for such assistance, the 6800GT's are a part of this mod! Add into this, that the person I was working with at NVidia took it upon herself to actually locate video cards that lent themselves to the whole engine compartment motif (sweeping pipes like an exhaust manifold).

So, they will stay, and if I do change them, the scoop text can change too!

Mr. Kholl, thank you very much for the reply! Mad props your way bro...
