thats actually very sad to here.
the Brotherhood of Modders mourns with you.

but then again who needs women when you've got Dremel

We will excuse you for two weeks, then we expect continuance of the project at full speed :D

I haven't seen this mod before, it looks great. black is the greatest color ever invented. my color scheme will be similar. black on black on black on black.....

    BLACK for teh win :hip:

It's not my intention to be rude or insensitive, but that comment made me laugh ;) On a more serious note.. I really hope you'll have a friendly parting (as friendly as it can get) and that everything works out in a good way. Take your time to sort things out first.
I wish you all the best.

Glad to see this promising mod won't be wiped out by your divorce. Hope things work out well for you and keep up the good work.

what can I say other than sorry..
I know (for myself anyway) this stuff is good therapy..
a diversion from the real-world... a few hours where the only important thing is getting that widget to fit into the case..
All the best..one day at a time my comrade in arms :dremel:

    Eh, marriage is overated. BTDT.

But seriously; love the project and the write-ups are great! I have seen this log long ago but re-read the entire thing and it just keeps getting better lol.

Some of your project appears to date back to 2003? Man people wshould realize a lot of the things you were doing at that time were absolutely cutting edge in the modding world! Great stuff man.

Good luck and remember theres nothing a good lap dance (or 2) can't do to help "clear the mind" :naughty:

Money is a bit tight with my trip to the UK coming up at the end of next month, but I'm finalizign the schematics for the chassis controller and will probably have some very minor tweaking of the firmware for the PIC 16F872. I'm also taking on another project for a good friend, so I'm a busy guy.
Probably one of the nicest things that's ever been said to me on a forum - thank you, thank you very much. It's been really theraputic working on things - but i've had more interuption with the paint and whatnot (the color I'm using has been discontinued, and I'm looking at a total respray... I just can't do it again, I'm terrible with paint :-().

The other major interuption was my landlords repouring the concrete in the garage, and I had no workshop/server space for almost a month. It's GREAT to have everything back in there now. I'm so close I can almost taste it, and now I'm dropping things that are holding me back. I want to finish, so I can move on, so I can feel complete. Probably a bit deep - but consider what this project has gone through, and you'll begin to understand.

Ditto man - The funny thing is that I didn't own a digicam until 2003 and didn't start logging until I had the camera. The original chassis was delivered to me in september of 2002! Thank your recognition though, I don't think very many people realize just how ahead of it's time this project was. My head is full of semi-firm ideas for the next project, and that's what I've been trying to do - do something never done before... so far, so good. Hopefully the industry/community doesn't catch up with my mind anytime soon!

We've missed you around here, hopefully you'll get this thing going on soon again.

And did I hear about another project...for a friend maybe...you know what that means, don't you?

    A project log!

    Nice to have you back.

Dude that is so sweet! I love it! Excuse me for being new around here and all but how do those buttons work thru the plastic? Does it still sense that you touched it? If so how do they not get confused on which one?

Yup, they're 100% touch sensitive. the logic to figure out which one is driven by a QProx QT150 based-circuit. It has "adjacent key supression" which is a feature you can shut on and off, basically it only picks up the key with the best signal. darn good question.

nothing going on otherwise - i'm very very tight on $ right now :(

    Glad to have you back.

I know what you mean with finishing this case making you feel "complete" and move on and such. Its interesting how projects like this gain significance in real life based on our real life events. I had a different experience that brought me to make Sangaku so I know how it feels. Keep it coming, its looking great.
