Thanks very much for the advice! :D

I'd be interested what you do with your cube so email me when you start.

    I can't even get a job! Laws....

Only reason I'd want an LCD is to build into my case. With such a behemoth (love that word) of a pc it's gonna be hard enough to transport so a built in monitor would take some of the weight off.

I don't know of a plexi supplier in UK...I live in the US.

Check out this thread though, should help you out :thumb:

Personally, I just go to Home Depot and pick up some plexi (not sure if HD is in UK)...even if its cheaper ordering online, I'm not the patient! :D

    Thanks for the feedback.

You can get UV plexi!? Seriously!? Can you link me to somewhere? (actually i'll :search: lol)

Another idea: I'm gonna get one of the front drive bay bezels and cut out a word or something in it then put frosted plexi behind as well as a lazer led. how cool would that look??

    Feedback always appreciated.

    Patience!

Yea sorry no pics yet because work hasn't started!

I asked the teacher at school when I could bring all my stuff in and start on the mod and he said thursday so that'll be when it starts.

But please be patient :nono: i'm not about to go rushing in and mess it all up. This has cost me money so i want to make a good job of it.

hope your teacher stops with those random projects good luck!
(dont cut your finger off with the band saw :duh: its happened to too many people i know!)

Yea sorry i'm a bit confused to be honest.

    OK here's how it stands:

Side of case with hardware in:

Full side window (maybe UV plexi dont know yet) with UV fan and fan grill.

Side of case with gadgets in:

Half side window (top half of side panel)
Bottom half taken up by draws for cables and other stuff & network switch.

Maybe TFT (could be after my birthday in april because of lack of money)
hinged at the back so it swings out to be perpendicular to the case.

If you need more explanation then please just ask and I'll make some more images in photoshop

PS : I will be careful I like having fingers lol

A plexi cube sounds cool go for it! :thumb:

    Anyway the guts:

    AMD Athlon XP2000+
    Jetway motherboard
80gig seagate barracuda hdd (running win xp)
40gig other hdd (storage & backup drive)
    DVD-ROM drive
    CD-RW drive
    Floppy drive
    SiS 900 NIC
    USB 2 pci card
    GeForce FX5200 120MB GPU

I'll have a look inside the pc in a minute and see if there's anything i've
    missed.

::edit:: nope that's everything, pretty ordinary but it's fast for gaming ::edit::

Sorry for work starting so late but i've been so busy at school

However work HAS now started. Bad news is i've got a half-term holiday so no modding for a week.

    ADVICE NEEDED!

OK i have two 300W psus that i want to hook up to power the gizmos but both need to be started up when the pc boots. the power switch goes to the mobo and this switches the psu on so how would i connect two psus to the motherboard???????????

    Thanks :thumb:
