Hey, looking really good man. Had you really never done any engraving before? Maybe to fix the colour problem with the photos, you could photoshop them a bit to show the acctual colours. Any word on the hardware that's going to go in there? (or did you already mention it and I've forgotten).

feet painted I promised an update, so here it is... since the last update I have cut the screws that will hold the radiator in the bottom together with the fan, case etc, but I will not post a picture of the screws because it's not really a big thing... I have also painted the legs of the case, and primed the case's inside and backside (it's drying so I'll post a pic tomorrow). I out of dim black paint so I can't paint it just yet though.. Last night i sanded the dragon door, to remove the paint to make it ready for drilling holes for the buttons I will use. Here are the legs that have been through a reverce Michael Jackson transformation (from white to black): Here's the dragon. it takes a lot of time and a fair amount of sweat to remove all the paint.. that's all for tonight guys I'll do as much as I can tomorrow
It will take a looong time. because I need the buttons to measure up where and how large the holes in the door shall be.. and since Frozen cpu didn't want to just send me new leds, after they did the mistake of sending me 8 out of 10 yellow leds instead of 10 green ones, I'm not sure if i'll buy anything from them again.. I have seen the buttons in many web shops so it shouldn't be a problem. Now, on today's priority list is: Finish the dragon grill Hot glueing the window to the front and applying bondo around it finish primeing the case's inside sand the dragon door, top or the jagged edge door.
hello, nice work so far only **** you had to do the dragon all over again. but the result is nice GRTS
well.. we haven't discussed much.. I have sent them a mail explaining the problem, and suggesting (in a friendly manner of course) that they should sort the LEDs... I also Hinted to, that they should send me new ones, but maybe they didn't understand... because all they answered was that they might sort the LEDs later... They didn't apolagize, and didn't offer to send me new leds. I guess I have to send them a new mail. I have now finished cutting the dragon grill... (man it was hard to cut the remaining parts!). I have also primed the case, and will soon start sanding the top fo I can prime that too I'll post the pics tonight
Have to say, the side door looks kinda cool with that bare metal polished look, not something you see a lot of, I'm guess it's going to end up green tho right?
well.. I will place frosted plexi behind the dragon and illuminate it with green leds. the actuall case will have a matte finish inside and on the back panel, while the rest will have black mirror finish (i hope)... So it's PROJECT: Green dragon, black case
Dragon grill finished Well... I still have to apply the color coat(s), but I have finished cutting and drilling and priming. I will buy paint tomorrow if I get to the shop... Finishing the grill was really time-consuming... and as you can see I struggled a bit to get the holes to fit... no drilling skills what so ever, I presume.. I have also primed the case and painted the right side (inside...). (I'm really angry because I had written more than this, and linked all the pictures, and when I was finished, the main power switch in the house turned itself off... and I hadn't uploaded the update..) I don't think the crooked holes will be noticeable when the grill is painted black and the tubes are hanging over it... the 3,5" bracket primed and painted (hmm looks gray in the picture.. crazy camera): I only had paint enough for one side, so I chose to paint the backside of the motherboard plate (sorry don't know the word for it..)
thanks Now the clock is 4 in the night... I have worked on masking the front window and glueing it to the front door. Tomorrow I'll fill the gaps with bondo Hope it will look cool! As it is now, I think it will be great, but it might be hard to sand the bondo when the plexi is there.. Good night!
mmmmmmm looking very nice dude, i really like your home made 120mm grill it the sweetness (mmmm 85 posts )
Large update! Thanks guys Today I have spent the hole day modding... (well I woke up at 2 o'clock). Here goes: Last night (about 3 in the morning) I hot glued the window to the front door, and masked the plexi. The area marked by red is glue. the glue will be the platform for the leds. today I have sanded the top panel finished. I have also primed it after I took this pic.. After I had primed the top, I sanded the dragon door... Now my arm i numb.. I went to the shop to buy some paint today.. 2 cans of black glanz and to cans black matte, and one little can of green. I also picked up some nuts and screws earlier today I applied bondo on the front... I still have quite a bit to do with it though... I need to apply more bondo too..
