It's possible but I don't think so. I'd try copying it to another drive first just in case though. Never heard of a disc being referred to as dynamic... maybe that's extra hotswap support or something.

The same thing has happend to me several times, but it's usally fixed itself..
Have you tried to reconnect the drive, re-boot your computer and checked all cables?
Or maybe test it on another machine (that way you can backup all the files if it works)?

If you do format or something like that there's a company in Norway called Ibas (if I'm not mistaken) that restores data. They're not cheap but they usally manages to restore all of the data. The Norwegian police uses them a lot :p

    how does it fix itself?
all the cables are correctly installed... and the jumpers are in place too... (I'm now 100% sure, but I'm close to 97% ;))

Ibas is not an option :p it's waaaay too expencive... up to 10000 NOR KR is too much... especially since I can just download the movies and music again..

I will probably hook the disk up on my dad's computer and take backup of the movies and music I want.. I just hope he has enough space :p

    BTW:
I have frosted the sidewindow now..I tried a test setup with some 5mm leds... but the leds turned out produce too little light to light up the window.. It MUST have been the wiring because later I put all the leds in a molex contact and they all lit up just fine. I have also set up the water cooling as it will be when I'm finised, so you can see how it will turn out. right now. I'm too tires do post the pics so I'll do it tomorrow.. :thumb:

Acid, i had a problem where my computer wouldnt recognize my optical drives. i was pissed and confused and noone could help me, but for no apparent reason i reinstalled clone cd on my computer [ i think i figured i'd just run an image file ] and it did a check and found and fixed the problem [something in some system file was messing with it]. you may have the problem. i suggest you install clone cd.

ew, that orange doesn't look good. Maybe you should give that block to piloux, might go just fine with his rust look ;)
Don't know if it'll help, but you could try getting hold of a copy of partition magic, it might be able to 'see' your missing data. Just a small chance though...

thanks kitt :D and welcome to the forum :thumb:

Oufh! I have just cleaned the water tubes and blocks and rads and pump (the entire system :p). no more orange, that's for sure :D I have also sanded the top... I will continue painting it tomorrow.

Here's a tip to everyone who's encountered the same problem as me:
when your system is full of water, add a fair amount of vinegar in the tank and let it circulate... if you do not have the system full of water (like me) then take out all the blocks, rads etc, and fill them up with a nice vinegar and water mix. they get cleaner if you shake the blocks and let the vinegar mix run through the pipes a few times. then fill the block/pipe/rad/pump with clean water.. if it still looks like a mess or the water still get's dyed when running through, repeat the entire procedure.

    Tomorrow features:
    Bondoing and Painting

    hehe :D

BTW. the vinegar is only for use to clean the system.. but I don't know if it will hurt the wc system if you always run vinegar in it.. :worried:

think I have to go to bed soon If i want to get up before 2 o'clock tomorrow :p
